Hi Paul,
What steps have you taken thus far? Do you have plugequal selected in shairport’s sound card setting (advanced settings)?
The changes you make to each slider should stay after saving, then the equalizer works.
15. Dezember 2017 at 16:57 #32972Hi praz,
Please try removing any cable from the audio jack, rebooting the device and play something.
Also, what sound card selection do you have in your player of choice (advanced options)?
15. Dezember 2017 at 16:48 #32970Hi antonio,
Please make sure that only Spotty and no other Spotify plugin is active in your settings.
15. Dezember 2017 at 11:10 #32959Hi guys,
We have now added a „Reset Bluetooth Device“ button in our newest beta that should help with some dropouts if Bluetooth hangs.
15. Dezember 2017 at 11:05 #32957Hi guys,
We have now made some progress in isolating the issue. Unfortunately, it seems to be directly connected to the Raspberry Pi 3’s built-in Bluetooth module. We tested with a dongle and with built-in, and the dropouts only occurred with the built-in module. It also does not seem to be connected to pulse audio as we also tested a different Bluetooth audio solution based on ALSA. So for people looking to implement Bluetooth as a permanent player instance, a Bluetooth dongle is probably necessary for continuous playback over two and a half hours.
However, we have added a new feature to our newest beta of the Bluetooth plugin that indicates such a dropout that might occur after 180 minutes that shows you whether your device needs to be restarted. Obviously, we will also keep looking into this matter and will try to add the ALSA implementation for Bluetooth in a future release as well.
Thank you all for your support, your detailed error reports and your dedication 🙂
14. Dezember 2017 at 15:20 #32940Hi everybody,
Another update:
The command line options parameter
-C 5added and saved in Squeezelite helped some Max2Play users get rid of the crackling noise that some AMP2 customers reported. If you have this issue, please try adding the aforementioned parameter to your command line options.14. Dezember 2017 at 10:58 #32937Hi dtesan,
Did you also install anything manually? Please describe the steps you have taken thus far for Bluetooth. Please also reboot and have a look at the Health Checker in Settings/Reboot.
14. Dezember 2017 at 10:32 #32936Hallo Ti-ejtsch,
13. Dezember 2017 at 13:05 #32931Hallo Stefan,

13. Dezember 2017 at 12:13 #32929Hi Martijn,
First of all, I am sorry for getting to you so late. I go chronologically through all new posts and was out of office for the last week, so you had to wait way to long.
– Is any other USB device connected and if so could remove it and try again?
– Could you try changing the output device in the Squeezelite and restarting the service?
– If you changed the IP, could you make sure this option is removed and make sure the tick in Accesspoint Mode on missing network connection is removed.
Also, what settings and parameters are present in Squeezelite?
13. Dezember 2017 at 11:46 #32927Hi nb,
No guarantee that this will help, but you can do a apt-get update via SSH. Login is user: pi pw: raspberry root pw: max2play
commands is:
sudo apt-get update12. Dezember 2017 at 17:30 #32906Hi guys,
Sorry about my absence. As mentioned before in other threads, I was laboring through a sickness for last week and am just now back at the office. Here, we have already run a long-term test for BT but were not able to detect any errors or bugs.
We are now running another test with another speaker to see whether this might give us some more insight.
@antonio: please try temporarily deactivating the UPNP plugin for your LMS (Settings -> Plugins -> active Plugins -> remove tick -> save).
@muhackl: I just tested with a fresh install, could you try deactivating WiFi, rebooting and installing BT again?
@Stefan: thanks for helping out in my absence.
@hanoba: thank you for pointing out snapcast, might be worthwhile to look into for future updates.12. Dezember 2017 at 16:53 #32900Hi Stefan,
12. Dezember 2017 at 16:04 #32899Hi Leute,
12. Dezember 2017 at 15:55 #32895Hi Titanium,
Could you check the permissions and rights of this particular file? Some particular sets of rights can confuse the LMS.
Also could try adding a SambaShare, copying the file there, removing the thumb drive and playing the file from your SambaShare?
12. Dezember 2017 at 12:54 #32892Hallo Kay,
12. Dezember 2017 at 12:53 #32891Hallo Mark,
12. Dezember 2017 at 12:50 #32890Hi Fossi,
Dabei sollten keine Datenprobleme entstehen.
12. Dezember 2017 at 12:45 #32889Hi ghoover,
Bluetooth pairing should work from the first boot with Max2Play. What output do you get when searching for nearby devices? If you find your device and click connect, what’s the output?
12. Dezember 2017 at 11:09 #32883Hi bigsur,
The plugin should show up right after installing the LMS itself als „Spotify for Squezebox Server. Still Spotty.“ please activate it and if needed update it, then it should show up normally as Spotty in the active plugins.
12. Dezember 2017 at 11:01 #32882Hi guys,
Unfortunately, we do not have any experience with this specific board. However, our images are open experiment and you can find some more info in our github: https://github.com/max2play
Also, user Raymond Day has already experimented with a few other boards:
https://www.max2play.com/en/forums/users/raymond-day/12. Dezember 2017 at 10:57 #32881Hi Richard,
The message should not be present in Max2Play version 2.45, our most current version. Please make sure that this version is displayed in the top right corner of your web interface.
When you press the update button in Settings/Reboot, please share what output Max2Play shows.
11. Dezember 2017 at 14:57 #32865Hi Anders,
Sorry about the late response. I have been out of the office on sick leave since last Wednesday.
The timezone is hardcoded in the file RaspDacDisplay.py
Here, a user describes how he adjusted it: https://www.max2play.com/en/forums/topic/oled-display-bleibt-dunkel/#post-30790
You need to use the command „nano“ in SSH. If you do not have any experience with this or need further assistance, let me know.
On MPD: The volume there is software-encoded, so will diminish the quality of your playback. Thus we only recommend controlling volume on your end device or switching to Squeezelite or Shairport for hw volume control.
Here is some more info on the OLED: https://github.com/dhrone/Raspdac-Display
Scroll down for the Max2Play details.
11. Dezember 2017 at 14:47 #32864Hi Leute,
10. Dezember 2017 at 15:16 #32855Hi melissa,
Sorry about the late response.
I will try to recreate this issue in our offices and see if we can find a fix.
