Hi Ravenik,
This is a rather specific issue with this radio channel.
Please check the advanced settings of your LMS if AAC is set to native.
6. September 2017 at 8:25 #31145From mherger (who released this version):
Ok, that comment might be a bit misleading. LMS is part of the software stack we run on mysb.com. Some of the code in LMS <=7.8 was specific to when it's running in our data centers. That's code which should never be executed on a customer's computers, aka. unused code. This code I have removed in 7.9, as I don't expect LMS 7.9 ever to be run on our infrastructure.
5. September 2017 at 14:35 #31140Hi Oliver,
5. September 2017 at 13:34 #31139Hi gstalnaker,
Thanks for your detailed, nice and thoughtful response.
The better performance of the LMS might be due to the new version 7.9 (without nightly) that mherger recently released. Here is the post on it:
https://www.max2play.com/en/forums/topic/announcement-squeezebox-server-7-9-released/Indeed, a backup of your Max2Play image, especially if you are tinkering with it and try to optimize your system, is always a good idea and very easy with our Image Burner Plugin.
5. September 2017 at 13:29 #31138Hi fabien,
As mentioned, pulse and ALSA are two different protocols for audio that cannot overlap.
It does not hinder any portability or control options as you can both use a HTTP command from any device to start or stop squeezelite as well as just accessing the web interface from any device to do the same thing.
4. September 2017 at 16:35 #31127Hi Rene,
4. September 2017 at 15:24 #31122Hi Daniel,
Der Sabre V3 ist kompatibel mit dem Kali Reclocker (Audiophonics Seite):
This Buffer reclocker is compatible with the Audiophonics I-Saber ES9023, ES9018K2M DAC and the majority of DACs accepting HIFIBERRY DAC drivers.
4. September 2017 at 15:03 #31121Hi Andy,
Thanks for contributing to this thread. I already linked to your discussion of the plugin. You are right, we are overdue to publish the add-on. I have not had the time to properly design the plugin page. If you provide some text we can quote from you as a creator, we will try to publish it within this week. 🙂
4. September 2017 at 14:57 #31119Hi Megantonneke,
First of all, thanks for the effort and for the detailed feedback.
We will add the video to our Max2Play community playlist.
We will also look into the second issue in detail and try to look for a creative solution to the first one.
4. September 2017 at 14:54 #31118Hi Tom,
What step did you take to activate the driver of the soundblaster? Have you tried selection the „USB sound card“ option in Raspberry Settings‘ sound card selection, yet?
4. September 2017 at 14:48 #31117Hi gstalnaker,
Recently (there is a thread about it on the Forum) LMS simply stopped responding and, in trouble-shooting the LMS issue, the M2P UI also stopped working — the tabs were at the top of the web pages, but the content was blank. In the end, I was advised to re-image M2P from the IMG and start over. Which I grudgingly did.
For this reason, we built the image burner to make a back-up of your image within a few minutes and with a few clicks. Please consider creating one just in case.
While we do encourage our users to do whatever they want with Max2Play, we also advise them to stick to the web interface in case they are not interested in any DIY „futzing“. A problem arising from manual inputs cannot easily be diagnosed or fixed as it is very individually created.
But the resulting M2P/LMS “experience” was awful. The M2P UI would go into a cyclical “Reloading page every 3 seconds” while installing LMS. And it stayed in that mode until I grew weary and killed it. I re-imaged the SD card three times and that behavior never stopped. With a LOT LOT LOT of futzing I eventually got a stable, working LMS and all was mostly well (LMS is horribly slow) until this morning.
Please make sure you do not do anything else while installing the LMS. The server does take a few minutes to install, as the yellow text alerts you. Please do not lose patience and let the sequence work itself out. Afterwards the LMS will be properly installed. If anything else happened during installation, please start a new installation and do not disturb it.
The LMS should not be horribly slow, we have a Pi2 working here with LMS and no interference or significant latency. Please check whether your SD card is Class 10 or higher to rule it out as a possible source of error. The three second updates are part of the process, do not stop the installation due to them. Just keep it running.
The other services of Max2Play can all be deactivated, removed from autostart or put into the inactive plugins section if you only want the LMS.
4. September 2017 at 14:35 #31115Hi vj,
Thanks for the feedback. We will look into the possibility and what it would require to implement. If you have any further info or tried adding it yourself, tell us about your experience and we will consider this as well.
4. September 2017 at 14:34 #31114Hi Mike,
Have you tried Access Point Autostart yet? https://www.max2play.com/en/2017/08/access-point-autostart-mode/
Also, saving your license only works with an active internet connection. Changing your device name should always work. What’s the error message there?
4. September 2017 at 14:31 #31113Hi frenzy,
Please try skipping that part and heading to Settings/Reboot, activate your license, head to Raspberry Settings and select your card. Then reboot.
4. September 2017 at 14:29 #31112Hi Mark,
Please check our LMS Bluetooth feature. You do not need to use pulse as output with this solution. you can find it at the bottom of the Bluetooth Plugin menu:
Setting up Squeezebox Server to stream audio via Bluetooth to multiple connected players is easy too. This only works for the Squeezebox Server running on this device! Make sure to have your smartphone connected successfully and click the install button below.
Afterwards, you see the „Bluetooth-Player“ in your Squeezebox Server favorites and it will play automatically when you start streaming from a Bluetooth device and switch back once finished streaming!
4. September 2017 at 14:25 #31110Hallo Martin,
4. September 2017 at 14:21 #31107Hi mini,
4. September 2017 at 14:19 #31104Hi wassell,
It does have something to do with pulse. You need the other Bluetooth option for your setup. Then, you can remove pulse from outputs and select correct output of your device you would normally use:
Setting up Squeezebox Server to stream audio via Bluetooth to multiple connected players is easy too. This only works for the Squeezebox Server running on this device! Make sure to have your smartphone connected successfully and click the install button below.
Afterwards, you see the „Bluetooth-Player“ in your Squeezebox Server favorites and it will play automatically when you start streaming from a Bluetooth device and switch back once finished streaming!Bluetooth support is not installed yet! First install Bluetooth on this page and then set up Squeezebox Server to use Bluetooth as Audio Input!
4. September 2017 at 14:15 #31103Hallo Rene,
4. September 2017 at 12:10 #31099Hallo Uwe,
4. September 2017 at 12:08 #31098Hi fred,
Please try deactivating the MultiSqueeze player to rule it out as the source of error. Please also check whether you have shairport on pulse and that Bluetooth is running.
If the problem persists, please tell us in more detail about your setup and the steps you have taken thus far. Do you use an RPi? What do you want to do with Bluetooth?
4. September 2017 at 11:59 #31097Hi fabien,
The Pi can be used for multiroom audio and as a video player, but it cannot do both at the same time.
Here, you can find some more info on the passthrough and Squeezelite+Kodi: https://www.max2play.com/en/forums/topic/kodi-passthrough-dts-5-1/
1. September 2017 at 16:29 #31072Hi,
Could you perhaps try fixing the connection and IP on your router’s interface. The WiFi interface of Max2Play acts like any other, simple scan, connect with SSID and password and stay connected.
1. September 2017 at 16:26 #31070Hi Daniel,
1. September 2017 at 16:23 #31068Hi jani,
With a freshly burnt image, connect to our web interface („max2play/“ in any browser), select „HiFiBerry“ in the first start screen, select „HiFiBerry Digi/Digi+“ in the dropdown on the HiFiBerry menu, reboot.
1. September 2017 at 16:15 #31066Hi motamas,
