    Hi giacva,

thanks for your hint. We fixed this issue. PVR addons should be available again in your Kodi menu.

Which version of Kodi would you like to install? Your question seems to be incomplete.

    Hallo!

    Hi zorrotenai/Paolo,

the resolv.conf file within the „/run/“ folder has no effect, because it is created during runtime. The resolv.conf in „/etc/“, though, is the file your device receives from your router to save information about your last connection. As your router cannot resolve „max2play/“, it seems it didn’t find your Max2Play device within the network. We don’t know much about your router and how it handles DHCP (dynamically providing IP addresses in your network) and cannot provide more detailed information, sorry. You could also contact the manufacturer of your router device about this issue.

    Hi Yasmail,

try out these steps to solve the problem with a workaround.

Coming with the next update of Max2Play, WiFi should work with any language again. [Update] Version 2.25 is out now. WiFi should work now with every system langauge chosen in Max2Play. Does it work now?

    Hallo rel,

    Hi Shodan,

    thanks for your question.

One solution is to extract the link launching Kodi in the Max2Play interface. To do this, enter the interface and the Kodi menu and click „Kodi /XBMC Start“. You will find the section saying „Xbmc.php?action=start“. Simply create a bookmark using the shown URL up to this section in your smartphone browser and pin it to your homescreen.

    Does it work for you?

    Hi elemay,

as far as we know, the HiFiBerry AMP+ does not support mono output. I suggest to contact HiFiBerry about this question and share the answer with us here.

    Hi K.Rens,

that’s not worth it. On the long run, we plan to drop Jasper (which is maintained insufficiently) and move on to speech control via Google Now and Siri (maybe also Cortana) to enable the interaction between smartphones and Max2Play. Certain additional apps and of course the assistants‘ APIs have to be used, though. At the end, we will publish a Max2Plugin that lets you choose your assistant and lists all available commands and necessary instructions to set it up. You might be able to add custom commands as well. But all this will take some time.

If you have an Android smartphone, you could test it meanwhile with installing the (not free) „Tasker“ app. In the max2play-interface, starting a Squeezelite player for example is done by a certain URL shown after clicking the „Start“-button (… Squeezeplayer.php?action=start …). You could link this URL and your command text in Tasker and control your Raspberry Pi with a Google Now speech command from then on.
Would be great if you shared your experiences with it.

    Hi Gerhard,

    thanks for your question.

Our TFT case use the same GPIO pins like the HiFiBerry AMP+ does. Therefore, both boards can’t be run at the same time. We also see no option to remove this hardware limitation.

    Hi acuncolta,

we could identify the problem with wifi. Your Max2Play system language should be French, right? Please change your language in the „Settings/Reboot“ menu to english and try to setup a wifi connection once again. Coming with the next Max2Play update, it will be possible of course to choose other languages without affecting the stability of your wifi.

Please tell us whether it is working for you now.

    Best regards

    Hi franky384,

sorry for the inconvenience. You should be able to successfully install Clementine on your ODROID U3 after updating your new Max2Play image to the latest beta build (Settings/Reboot-menu). The changes will be included in the stable builds lateron.

    Hallo Calle,

    Hi there!

Meanwhile, the IQaudIO Pi-DAC+ is available in our store as well as the official IQaudIO Pi-CASE+.

You also have the possibility to preorder the bundle with our special IQaudIO Max2Play image. The image will be finished soon.

What do you think about it?

    Hi waterdrinkingman,

    thanks for your question.

This issue could be related to restrictions of HTML content you are allowed to post. Have you already tried out the „code“ button above?

I used the code button for this sentence.

    Hi mbambi,

you could try out the following steps:

In the M2P interface, enter the „Raspberry Settings“ menu and check whether your soundcard is set correctly. If not, change it, reboot and try again. The sound card should also be selected in „Audioplayer“ -> Squeezelite -> Advanced settings.

Make sure to stop KODI and Shairport before starting a Squeezelite Player. If it makes sense for your setup, disable „Autostart“ for KODI and Shairport to prevent this issue in the first place.

    Hi formicula1979,

    thanks for your question.

I assume you are using several devices and Squeezelite Players and therefore, want to organize them with unique names. The easiest way is to rename your Max2Play devices in the „Settings/Reboot“ menu. This name is also used for the Squeezelite Player, that’s why your entries are overwritten on reboot.

If you have several Squeezelite Players on one device by using „Multisqueeze“, you can change the name by entering the commandline parameter „n “ within the advanced options of your Squeezelite Players. Check out this and other parameters for Squeezelite Players here.

    Hi Pastinakel,

thank you very much for sharing this with us. Definitely cool thing we will consider in future updates as an optional feature.
Running an LMS version 7.8 and above, the Squeezebox plugin „Shairtunes 2“ emulates Airplay and, therefore, is a good combination. Your solution, consequently, makes sense for owners of Squeezeboxes running older versions of LMS (e.g. 7.7).

    Hi there!

We have already contacted the manufacturer of IQaudiO DAC+ soundcards to address this issue. We will add specific configurations coming with the next update for Max2Play and are also working on a Max2Play image expecially for IQaudiO DACs.

    Hi Dan,

first of all, we need to understand what exactly you mean by „DTS passthrough“. We guess you are talking about the drop in quality of certain music files during HDMI playback on your Squeezebox server, e.g. FLAC files with 32 bit rate and 96 KHz sampling rate are played back with 16 bit and 48 KHz only.
If so, you should definitely try out the following steps to keep the original sound quality: Enter your Max2Play interface and go to „Raspberry Settings“. On the page, look for the section „Change HDMI Settings for Display Resolution, Framerate and Audio“ and activate „Enable High-Resolution Audio on HDMI“ by choosing „Max2Play Kernel with 192 Khz enabled“.

Please let us know what your results are.

    Best regards

    Hi Raymond,

we have not tested the clock screensavers with the 2,8 inch display so far, but it should work with it, too. Ironically, we guess there is a risk of a screen burn-in with the 2,8 inch display, so be careful when testing on your own.

Glad you got your second device working.

    Hi Patrick,

    thank you for contacting us.

I recommend to restart with a default Max2Play image, create a new Squeezebox server and connect your hard drive afterwards.
