    Hi smiling-stefano,

    ENGLISH (Deutsche Version weiter unten)

    Hi Max2Play Community!

We have received all your messages about the failed activation of your Max2Play Premium Licenses after buying a new license or updating to the latest Max2Play version. We confirm the activation service was temporarily unavailable because we are currently working on improving the security of our Max2Play shop with encrypted SSL connections. The migration at first prevented Max2Play devices from validating your Premium Licenses both manually and automatically during the update.

To reactivate the license, follow these steps please:

    1. Make sure your Max2Play devices are connected to the internet.
    2. Delete the license in the Max2Play interface and click „save“ with a blank field.
    3. Click on „Settings/Reboot“ again, reenter your license and click „save“.
    4. Check if the green „Activated“ field appears.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this issue and thank you for your understanding.

    Hi Max2Play Community!

    Hi OmeGa and Bristow,

Thank you for your posts. Please provide more details about your setup and the steps you have taken so far.

It was work fine on my last installation but now impossible …

Does it mean you reinstalled Max2Play? Which version of Max2Play did you use, which image and which Jivelite version did you install? The precompiled one?

    Hi southafricanrob,

    Thank you for your post.

In this post about running kodi and squeezelite simultaneously, m.max2play mentioned port 9090. Maybe the information is useful for your setup as well. I don’t know more about which ports are used by Kodi. I recommend to ask for help in the Kodi community forum.

    Hallo all!

    @Bort
: Thank you for your feedback. We will show your obervations (also those you might add in the future) to our developer.

    @q20
: Yes, the root access has changed in the new Jessie build. Log in as user „pi“ as usual, enter „su“ and „max2play“ to get root access.

    Hallo chrisich,

I am still not sure what you tried to do. All Max2Play images we offer on our download page work fine with the Raspberry Pi 2 and can be accessed with the login data above, e.g. using PuTTY.
What exactly are the steps you have taken?
What does „does not run“ mean? Didn’t Sambashare and package updates work both with commands and in the Max2Play interface?

    Hallo!

We will look into this within the next weeks and try to add this feature to MAx2Play if it is not to time-consuming.

The selection of the correct output device is possible with the combination of Squeezebox Server, the Shairtunes2 plug-in and miniDLNA plug-in for SBS. Access the SBS from your Apple with Airplay (connects to Shairtunes2) or Android devices with BubbleUPnP for example (connects to miniDLNA).

    Hallo sweet,

    Hi mkkyah,

we checked the technical possibilities to delay the start of Kodi. Unfortunately, it does not work the same way as it does for the Squeezebox Server.
Have you ever tried to use your USB-DAC with another board like a Raspberry Pi 2 to find out if this is a U3 or a USB-DAC-specific problem with Kodi 15?
You could also try to set the following option in Kodi: Go to Settings -> System -> Audio -> Keep Audio device alive and choose „Always“.

    Hello wanderwell,

have you come across this page about Keymap? There are some custom keymaps you could use as templates. Unfortunately, I don’t find more specific information about MCE remotes.

You could also check out existing Kodi skins. Some of them might include keymaps already.

    Hi Georg,

    Thank you for your feedback.

I have just tried to play music with iTunes (12.3.2.35) on a Windows 10 PC. iTunes recognized the Shairport Player on the Raspberry Pi 2 and displayed the Airplay icon correctly next to the volume control.

Which version of iTunes is installed on your PC?
Which players are selected? Click on the Airplay icon to open the list. It is necessary to activate both „My Computer“ and „[name of your max2play device] to play the music on your PC.

    Hallo dicker007,

    Hello Bazzzer,

we don’t know what you will do with the audio once it is inside the Pi. However, the Wolfson board with its Line In and S/PDIF makes it possible to get sound into the Pi. We know the plugin „WaveInput“ available for Squeezebox Server (LMS). In the plugin’s settings, you can choose the correct audio input there. The LMS can provide the incoming audio to all clients as usual.
Make sure to use the Raspberry Pi Default Image and choose „Wolfson ´Cirrus Logic (Kernelchange) at „Raspberry Settings“.

    Dear hampit,

we have no experience with PVR clients with VNSI protocol (what is it for, by the way?).
If possible, just try to install it on a test image with Max2Play and share the results with us.

    Hallo Sefina,

    http://shop.max2play.com/media/downloadable/beta/voicecontrol.tar

    Hi zalun,

which status can you see in the the „WiFi/LAN“ menu of Max2Play? Like:
WiFi USB adapter status is not active. WiFi connection status is not active (Only WPA/WPA2-Encryption possible)
If possible, please connect your Pi with LAN to your network router and try to activate the license this way so we can exclude malfunctions due to unstable WiFi signals.

    Hallo janvk,

Make sure your Max2Play device is connected to the internet.
Delete the license in the Max2Play interface, click „save“ with a blank field
Click on „Settings/Reboot“ again, reenter your license, click „save“.
Check if the green „Activated“ field appears. If not, contact us again for further help.

    Hallo chrisich,

which program did you use to enter the Raspberry Pi with version 2.26 without success (or 2.22 successfully)? I have just tried an image updated to 2.27 and could login as root via PuTTY.

Samba Shares and the Kernel and Package Updates are available in the „Filesystem/Mount“ and „Raspberry Settings“ menus of Max2Play’s browser interface as well. Have you tried that?

Did those features work with the 2.26 image whereas they don’t wit hthe 2.22 image?

    Hallo midimo,

    Hi Elembee,

    Thank you for your post.

With DLNA, you refer to the Max2Play DLNA plug-in?
Which version of Max2Play and which image are you using?
Which LMS version is installed on your Pi B?
How is your Pi connected to your network? LAN or WiFi?
Have you tried to reset your network router etc.?
Have you tried with another browser?
