First things to check are if you updated Max2Play to the latest version available (2.26) in the Settings/Reboot menu and if you expanded the filesystem afterwards in the same tab. Wit newer versions of Max2Play, it is possible to look for devices that can be mounted automatically. You could try this out and simply choose your NAS server from the list.

just found your message here as well, so my reply is the same like in my email and on facebook. Therefore, it does not contain any news for you, but maybe for others with the same issue:
As far far as I understood, you tried to update Max2Play in the „Advanced Setup“ tab which is only available for Max2Play for ODROID. There is a warning below the update button saying you should not update if your U3 image is not based on Ubuntu 14. I tried this update feature with a new U3 image based on Ubuntu 14 and everything is working normally.
I recommend to download the latest image for the U3 on our homepage, burn it onto your microSD card or eMMC module (in combination with a microSD adapter) with the program Win32DiskImager. After you have started your U3 successfully, enter the Settings/Reboot tab, do an update to version 2.26, expand the filesystem, activate the „Advanced Setup“ plug-in and check for updates there afterwards.Maximilian from Max2Play

danke für die Rückmeldung. Du hast uns ja schon auf anderem Wege mitgeteilt, dass CEC nach der Neuinstallation funktioniert.
Zur Information: Das Feature ist noch nicht ganz ausgereift. Wir planen, in ein paar Wochen die Tastaturbelegung und weitere Tastenfunktionen einfach vom Max2Play-Interface aus konfigurierbar zu machen. Zunächst ging es uns darum, die CEC-Steuerung grundsätzlich zu ermöglichen. Leider braucht das noch etwas Zeit.
Wer von euch konnte CEC noch erfolgreich in Betrieb nehmen oder hatte bei der Einrichtung Probleme? Euer Feedback hilft uns bei der Weiterentwicklung der Funktion weiter.

The VOIP settings are designed to work with AVM FritzBox! routers which appear as an own VOIP server in your network. We don’t have any experience with your SIP, therefore, we cannot guarantee you can use the callblocker functionality as expected. Basically, the callblocker unit is added as another VOIP telephone in a FritzBox! router. Accordingly, an incoming call also rings the callblocker unit, the callblocker identifies the number, compares it to the blacklist and decides what to do. If you see any possibility to configure which devices should receive incoming calls, there is a chance it will work. But again, no guarantee.
The API key is related to the blacklist only and does not prevent the VOIP configuration from working.Maximilian from Max2Play

leider kennen wir deinen USB-DAC nicht und können auch nicht selbst testen. Bei der Vielzahl an USB-DACs ist es uns nicht möglich, alle zu unterstützen oder Max2Play zu optimieren. Ich empfehle, den Hersteller und andere Raspberry Pi-Foren zu nutzen, um Informationen aus erster Hand zu erhalten. Wenn du etwas herausfindest, teile uns gerne hier deine Ergebnisse mit.

I cannot assist you with this problem because your setup is very special and far away from the hardware Max2Play is adapted to and tested with, sorry. We only offer a default driver for USB-DACs that sometimes works and sometimes not. But nevertheless, try to go forward. Maybe somebody else has an idea? You could also ask for help in other forums for VMware servers and C-Media USB-DACs.Maximilian from Max2Play

wenn du Zweifel hast, ob die Soundkarte korrekt eingerichtet ist, schau im „Raspberry Pi Einstellungen“-Menü nach, ob die richtige Soundkarte ausgewählt ist. Ergänzend kannst du im „Audioplayer“-Menü beim genutzten Player die „Erweiterten Optionen“ prüfen. Dort sollte ein Eintrag stehen wie „sysdefault_(…)_hifiberry_dacplus(…)“.
Wie nutzt du Airplay und DLNA? Über den Squeezebox Server (LMS) mit entsprechenden Plugins (Shairtunes2 bzw. miniDLNA) oder nutzt du den Shairport Player (Audioplayer-Menü) für Airplay bzw. unser Plugin „DLNA-Server“ und den dazugehörigen Player „DLNA-Client Audio (gmediarender)“ für DLNA?

Der langsame Zugriff ist ungewöhnlich, das haben wir auch schon bei älteren Versionen nicht beobachtet. Von der Aktivierung einer Premiumlizenz ist die grundsätzliche Performance von Max2Play jedenfalls völlig unabhängig. Umso besser, dass du mit der Geschwindigkeit jetzt zufrieden bist.

es gibt derzeit keine Funktion, die alle von dem Webinterface ausgeführten Befehle anzeigt oder aufzeichnet. Wir denken darüber nach, dieses Feature in einer der nächsten Versionen als „Debug“-Modus hinzuzufügen.
Zwischen Wheezy und Jessie sollten eigentlich keine spürbaren Performanceunterschiede auftreten. Die Arbeitsgeschwindigkeit hängt natürlich stark davon ab, was man mit dem Setup umsetzen will. Was heißt denn für dich träge bzw. welche Arbeitsgeschwindigkeit bewertest du als performant?

welche Kernelversion ist denn aktuell auf deinem Max2Play-Gerät installiert? Du kannst sie unter „Einstellungen/Reboot“ in den DEBUG-Infos nachschlagen. Ansonsten könntest du am selben Ort prüfen, ob du das Dateisystem expandiert hast, also genug freier Speicherplatz (dev/root -> %use) auf der SD-Karte verfügbar ist.
Ich konnte beim aktuell angebotenen HiFiBerry Image (2.16), das noch den alten Kernel enthält, erfolgreich ein Upgrade auf den 4.1-Kernel durchführen.Maximilian von Max2Play

Für CCU Historian haben wir bisher keine Deinstallationsfunktion eingebaut. Hier hilft leider nur das Brennen und Einrichten eines frischen Max2Play-Images.Maximilian von Max2Play

Max2Play is based on Raspian. You could check on this. Unfortunately, we cannot support any USB-DAC. If it is an option, you could switch to the soundcards we offer in our shop. We can guarantee full support and easy installation for these DACs.
There is another thing you could try out if you dare to do it: Use SSH to log in as user „root“ (password „max2play“) and enter the command
modprobe snd-usb-audio
If your soundcard works now, use this command
echo "snd-usb-audio" >> /etc/modules

1) Cannot promise anything, but thank you for your input,
2) It’s very time-consuming to support several devices. Therefore, it is not very probable that Cubox computers will be supported by Max2Play by default in the future. If you want to, you can try to download the install script from github and to modify it on your own. We cannot guarantee full functionality, however.
3) We will add WPS functionality very soon allowing to connect a Max2Play device and a WPS capable router automatically. You have to wait until we have published new images coming along with the right configuration (WPS activated) and WiFi is available on the first start.Maximilian from Max2Play

Beschreibe bitte, auf welche Weise zu die Sambafreigabe auf deinem ersten Max2Play-Gerät eingerichtet hast. Im zweiten Max2Play-Gerät muss das freigegebene Verzeichnis natürlich erst gemountet werden. Schau dir gerne mal unser Video zu Freigaben an.

into the Max2Play interface and start the installation as usual, please (version 15.1).

danke für deinen Hinweis. Über die letzten Tage erst hat sich der Link für das Kodi-Paket geändert. Wir haben ihn in der aktuellen Beta-Version angepasst. Wer nicht Beta-Nutzer ist, fügt bitte diesen Kodi-Downloadlink
in das Max2Play-Interface ein und startet die Installation wie gewohnt.

thank you for your compliments.
I installed the RPi Camera plug-in on a 2.25 Max2Play image successfully (same Raspi and kernel version). Starting the camera in the Max2Play interface worked as well as its webinterface and video stream.
You could try to install the RPi camera plugin again or on a fresh image. Maybe, the plug-in was not installed completely/correctly?Maximilian from Max2Play

USB-DAC is the correct setting. Unfortunately, we cannot support any USB-DAC solution available. We use the standard driver for Raspberry Pi and USB-DACs. You could contact the manufacturer or post your question in the Raspberry Pi forum to learn more about the compatibility of your WaveIO card.

wir empfehlen, immer nur einen LMS pro Netzwerk zu nutzen. Warum ist dir die Einbindung des vorhandenen LMS wichtig?
Mit „Shairport“ meinst du das „Shairtunes 2 Plugin“ für LMS? Nur ein LMS mit diesem Plugin kann Airplay-Geräte erreichen. Auf deinem vorhandenen LMS wir das Plugin wohl nicht installiert sein, daher findest du dessen Musik auf deinen Apple-Geräten nicht.

die beschriebenen Symptome sind wirklich merkwürdig. Die Wecker-Krücke funktioniert definitiv nicht. Hast du schon andere Radiosender probiert? Aus irgendeinem Grund reißt ja wohl der Stream von PSR ab. Wir betreiben LMS täglich und konnten nicht beobachten, dass Radiosender aus der Favoritenliste verschwinden oder die Wiedergabe abbricht.

the upgrade might lead to certain incompatibilites of packages, so no warranty everything will work after upgrading Ubuntu to 15.10. Nevertheless: Create a backup copy and try it out, if you want to! 🙂

it is not possible to attach files to posts, sorry. Just paste your crashlog into this topic. What is logged in „DEBUG info“ in the Max2Play Kodi interface (end of menu)?
Basically, running Squeezelite and Kodi at the same time does not work regardless of which Kodi version is installed. On my test system (with HiFiBerry DAC+, M2P 2.25), I cannot start Squeezelite successfully as long as Kodi (15.1) is running as expected. The other way round, Max2Play automatically stopps Squeezelite when starting Kodi. It works perfectly fine.
