    Normally, the plugin should recognize ssid and pw if its within reach of the Pi despite being hidden. Please update to our latest version if you have not yet. The issues also just might have been due to the bridge status of the connection.

    Hi markus,

    Sorry about the inconvenience.

    Our Italian translation is a work in progress: http://translate.max2play.com/projects/Max2Play/

    The language of your web interface should be influenced by the language of your browser. Please check whether the language changes to English if you change your browser’s language to English. If it’s already English, please share your debug info in the Settings/Reboot menu so we can check for issues.

    Hi Dave,

    Yes, Bluetooth is definitely still supported. We are terribly sorry to have overlooked your detailed post on your issues with Bluetooth. We do owe you a response.

    However, the Bluetooth technology can be tricky. Some device’s protocols and household’s networks may vary and cause very different issues. Playback issues like these are hard to diagnose. However, the error in the LMS should not occur. Have you tried installing the new 7.9 stable version based on armHF that we recently included? It might work better with the plugin.

    Hi Fuselx,

    Danke für den Nachtrag, ich hoffe es kann anderen Usern mit der gleichen Problematik helfen.

    Bei welchem Pi-Modell konntest du dieses Problem feststellen? Wir konnten auf unserem Testgerät dies nicht reproduzieren.

    Hi guys,
    great to hear the positive feedback! We are currently working on an official plugin page and more documentation.

    @modtastic
    :
    Please try a fresh image and see whether you can reproduce this error. Also, please share the debug info of the plugin. But make sure no login credentials are included in the log 😉

    Hi Craig,

    Sorry about the late response.

    Please try checking the box „Reinitialize“ under the Kodi start button in the web interface.

    Hi shepdoug,

    Please doublecheck the rights of your folders and files on the drive. The SBS sometimes has issues scanning files with special rights. If that is not the case, please activate max USB current, remove any other USB periphery you might have connected and try again. Also make sure your drive is formatted in a regular protocol (FAT, NTFS).

    Hi Elluminatus,

    Thanks for the clear and detailed questions. Here goes:

    1. We have not tested the XSqueeze plugin, especially not under the C2. However, according to the documentation, it should work fine. You could test it out first by checking whether a Squeezebox Server recognizes the Kodi-Player from XSqueeze in its web interface.

    2. Max2Play only needs to run on the Pi’s you want to use. One of them should have the Squeezebox Server installed and all should have Squeezelite running. If you want to use your dataserver’s music, you can mount it on the Pi with the Squeezebox Server to access all your music from anywhere in your network and play it to all Squeezelite players.

    I hope this clears everything up. Check our Multiroom Audio Configurator to find the right setups for each of your rooms: https://www.max2play.com/en/multiroom-audio-configurator/

    24. Mai 2017 at 11:28 #29045

    No problem, great to hear that it works well. We will look into the volume issue.

    Edit: We looked into it, and currently, the plugin does not support any hardware volume control: https://github.com/plietar/librespot/issues/140

    For now, you can adjust the slider of your sound card volume accordingly, before launching Spotify Connect 😉

    23. Mai 2017 at 12:21 #29028

    In the Raspberry Settings sound card selection, select „none“, reboot, select your card, reboot, check the sound card options again.

    23. Mai 2017 at 10:30 #29024

    Dies sollte eigentlich nicht der Fall sein, kann jedoch bei bestimmten Spezialrechten für verschiedene Ordner passieren. Bitte prüfe die nicht gescannten Ordner auf ihren Status und gebe diese gegebenenfalls frei.

    @Rheinlaender: It’s already happened 🙂

    We successfully tested MHerger’s new authentication for the LMS Spotify plugin and it works like a charm.

    Here is our topic on it.
    And here’s my post on the slimdevices board.

    @Atinkler
    : Please try re-selecting your sound card (first select none, then reboot, then re-select) and rebooting.

    22. Mai 2017 at 13:00 #28999

    Yes, thanks for that addition.

    Important, please make sure:

    – That you have a MySqueezeBox.com-Account.
    – That your Players‘ MAC addresses are active in that Account („Players“ in MySqueezeBox.com)
    – That your Spotify Plugin is active and your premium login is entered in MySqueezeBox.com (My Apps -> Spotify in MySqueezeBox.com)

    22. Mai 2017 at 12:31 #28996

    Hi guys,

    We tested the new authentication method and it works great. You can keep your official Spotify plugin, add the new Spotty from Herger, authenticate from your app, and all should work fine.

    Hi Matthias,

    Wir haben dies noch nicht bei einem Umstieg von SD auf eMMC versucht, aber du könntest versuchen das Image zu kopieren und dann auf die eMMC zu übertragen. Einfach im WinDiskImager bei eingesteckter SD zuerst auf Read, dann die Datei davon bei eingesteckter eMMC mit Adapter „Write“.

    22. Mai 2017 at 11:10 #28987

    Hi guys,

    I’m happy you are actively testing already. And, of course, that some of you already got it running.

    To the ones with issues: Please post your debug log from the bottom of the web interface menu and detail our errors.

    @Atinkler
    : Please check for your options in Squeezelite, they should be the same as in SpotifyConnect and you should be able to select the same output.

    @std
    : Please try a new image and start from the newest beta. You also require an active premium account which is the „name“ you need to enter.

    Hallo Martin,

    Es freu uns, dass du dein Problem selbst lösen konntest. Eigentlich haben wir jedoch WPS gerade zur einfachen Ausführung mit den Pi Zero’s implementiert. Hier nochmal die Anleitung, falls du es ernuet versuchen möchtest: https://www.max2play.com/howtos/howto-wlan-einrichtung-mit-wps-und-max2play/

    Hallo Fuselx,

    Bitte versuche gegebenenfalls ein frisches Image zu testen, da wir mit diesem direkt Erfolg hatten.

    22. Mai 2017 at 10:59 #28982

    Hallo Martin,

    Bitte versuche ein frisches XU4-Image von unserer Webseite runterzuladen und mit dem Odroid Windiskimager zu brennen.

    Hallo Maximilian,

    Entschuldige die späte Rückmeldung. Für den Rotary Encoder solltest du die GPIO Pins 23 und 24 verlöten. Auf Seite 40 siehst du eine Übersicht: http://www.iqaudio.com/downloads/IQaudIO.pdf

    Auf Softwareseite sollte lediglich das Plugin für den Encoder installiert werden: https://www.max2play.com/2016/09/rotary-encoder-fuer-iqaudio-soundkarten-jetzt-auch-im-max2play-shop-erhaeltlich/

    Edit: Falls du sowohl Drehreglung als auch Druckknopf nutzen möchtest, kannst du versuchen deine Problematik mit diesem Fall abzugleichen: https://www.max2play.com/forums/topic/rotary-encoder-with-iqaudio-digi-amp/#post-28757

    Hallo Roland,

    Ich habe selbst nochmal einen neuen LMS aufgelegt um dies zu testen (7.9 stable) und konnte unten rechts weiterhin einfach „Skip“ bei der Anmeldung klicken um diese zu umgehen. Kannst du uns dein Setup genauer erklären, dann können wir dein Problem besser isolieren.

    19. Mai 2017 at 11:18 #28951

    No reason for apologies, I understand your enthusiasm on the new LMS solution and will try to make time to test myself, soon 😉

    19. Mai 2017 at 11:06 #28947

    We’re absolutely on the same page, which is why I am completely supporting Michael’s efforts and yours in bringing more visibility to them.

    However, I wanted to make sure that new users are aware that they can still currently use the solutions above and are not scared away from using Max2Play by reading that Spotify currently requires new hope and is dead, they work.

    We are keenly aware that a lot of users would prefer an LMS implementation over a standalone Spotify Connect solution (for which our beta just went out) and are also looking into an LMS integration (of our Spotify Connect solution) at the moment.

    Hi guys,

    We are still testing it, but the Spotify Connect plugin is now functional and working hard to pump music here in the offices.

    You can check it out already as a beta under the install-URL „http://shop.max2play.com/media/downloadable/beta/spotifyconnect.tar“

    Again, thanks for the groundwork you did and the patience and trust you afforded us to realize this. I hope you enjoy it!

    Hi Atinkler,

    adamd already shared the slimdevices thread in a new topic: https://www.max2play.com/forums/topic/new-hope-for-spotify-lms-plugin/

    19. Mai 2017 at 10:22 #28940

    Hallo Fuselx,

    Bitte mache erneut ein Beta-Update, reboote deinen Pi und klick auf „Installieren“.

    Edit: Wir haben die neue Version getestet, erfolgreich installiert und Betrieb nehmen können. Deshalb ist diese nun auch angepasst im normalen Update verfügbar.

    Important: Update your system before installing the FHEM setup.

    Hi adamd,

    Thanks for jumping right in.

    Firstly, there are still two properly functioning solutions for the LMS to run Spotify, currently.
    Either, our guide for the 3rd party triode plugin: https://www.max2play.com/en/how-tos/howto-spotify/
    Or, NizzyAmps‘ setup of the official Spotify plugin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8dYcOyrxLY

    Secondly, we would recommend you try a fresh image. Those are all based in Jessie lite and should make for a better testing basis.

    Hi endormi,
    I tested your license and it is definitely active. You can try this url-test with your email and see whether your network is able to verify the license:

    Hi Leute,

    Könntet Ihr nochmal die aktuellste Version des Plugins hier teilen? Wir können dann so schnell wie möglich eine Plugin-Seite erstellen und so deine Arbeit für alle Max2Play-Nutzer leicht zugänglich machen.
