I am attempting to read music files from a usb attached drive on a Raspberry Pi 3B running Logitech Media Server 7.9
The Max2PLay file mount utility will mount the drive but when I go into LMS Settings to scan the drive, the scan completes in 30 seconds and it will not scan the music files. The drive is attached to the RPi that is running LMS.
Samba Share is working fine on the drive and I can read the files from other devices on my network.
I appreciate any advice anyone can share.
Hi shepdoug,
Please doublecheck the rights of your folders and files on the drive. The SBS sometimes has issues scanning files with special rights. If that is not the case, please activate max USB current, remove any other USB periphery you might have connected and try again. Also make sure your drive is formatted in a regular protocol (FAT, NTFS).
