    Hi Cosmin,

Firstly, I am sorry about the late response.

Have you tried checked whether the CEC autostart in Jivelite was removed?

    Hi Patrik,

    Sorry about the late response.

Thanks for the suggestion. We will look into the possibility of implementing it.

    Hi Leute,

    Hi Tony,

Firstly, please deactivate the built-in audio in the Raspberry Settings.

Also, check out the documentation on github for utilizing ALSA as should be more conveniently set up.

Please add a little delay to Squeezelite to make sure it does not hog the ALSA: -C 10 should do it

We will look into this ourselves and give you a more detailed response soon.

    Hi alex,

Sorry about the inconvenience and the late response.

Please try removing the tick in the WiFi/LAN menu „load WiFi interface“, save and reboot.

    Hallo Bernd,

    9. Juni 2017 at 13:56 #29457

    Hi alex,

If you have not yet, please try deactivating the WiFi interface in the WiFi/LAN menu (remove the tick and save).

    9. Juni 2017 at 13:54 #29456

    Hi homeboy,

    9. Juni 2017 at 13:49 #29455

    Hi Fred,

You have to deactivate the WiFi interface with a tick in the WiFi/LAN menu, save, then shutdown the device, remove the power supply and reattach it. Afterwards the AP should be accessible. However, we currently do not see the use for a Zero Wireless AP setup. What do you use it for?

    Hallo Horst,

    9. Juni 2017 at 12:57 #29448

    Hi sq_ko_lpz,

Sorry about the misunderstanding. Our head developer Stefan had already added a line to alter the default from the plugin to 320 from first installation. This is the reason why you receive a message saying that it’s given more than once. We might add some info in the plugin telling new users that this occurs and they don’t have to worry about the error message. Thanks for pointing us towards this issue.

    TL;DR
The Spotify Connect Plugin automatically sets the playback bitrate to 320

    8. Juni 2017 at 13:17 #29395

    – We do not use LibreELEC, our Kodi is for Raspbian Jessie lite and currently version 17.1. We do not alter the build and have not had any experiences with the AZERTY setting, unfortunately.

    – The Squeezebox system was picked up by a dedicated community of developers, tinkerers and DIY folks that continue to enhance its features and builds. They have a very active discussion board and recently published a new version of server and a new Spotify plugin. The iOS and Android apps are just some actual dedicated apps for the Squeezebox system. There are many others out there, especially on Android, but also on Windows, MacOS, Linux, etc. (SoftSqueeze, Squeeze Commander, SqueezeCtl, etc.) For more info, check the forums: http://forums.slimdevices.com/forum.php

    Hallo Holger,

    Hi Hydro,

Unfortunately, the Bluetooth technology varies heavily between different devices and chips. Thus, we cannot easily determine what exactly causes your issues.

However, what you try to do is minimize the interference of other signals in your vicinity and turn of your Pi’s WiFi module (remove the tick for WiFi interface in WiFi/LAN menu).

    Hi modtastic,

Sorry about the inconvenience. We made a quick fix for some Spotify Connect issues. If you are having trouble logging in, please:
    – Update your device in Settings/Reboot and reboot it
    – Click „reinstall“ in the Spotify Connect plugin
    – Log in again with your usual credentials

    Hi Marcel,

Dessen github könnte dir vielleicht weitere Einblicke bringen.

    Hi sq_ko_lpz,

You are correct. You can find all parameters in the debug window below the menu, here it is:
    Options:

-c, –cache CACHE Path to a directory where files will be cached.
    -n, –name NAME Device name
    -b, –bitrate BITRATE
    Bitrate (96, 160 or 320). Defaults to 160
    –onstart PROGRAM
Run PROGRAM when playback is about to begin.
    –onstop PROGRAM
Run PROGRAM when playback has ended.
    -v, –verbose Enable verbose output
    -u, –username USERNAME
    Username to sign in with
    -p, –password PASSWORD
    Password
    –disable-discovery
    Disable discovery mode
    –backend BACKEND
Audio backend to use. Use ‚?‘ to list options
–device DEVICE Audio device to use. Use ‚?‘ to list options
    –mixer MIXER Mixer to use

In your case it would indeed just be:
    -b 320

    Hi fred,

Our update is now out. Please update your system.

    7. Juni 2017 at 12:31 #29332

    Hi guys,

    Sorry about the hassle.

We isolated the problem to the port addition and the „local“.

Please try one of these command line instead:

    -s 192.168.0.16 -o hw:CARD=sndrpijustboomd -V Digital -Q

    -s livingroom -o hw:CARD=sndrpijustboomd -V Digital -Q

    Hi everyone,

The new version of Max2Play is ready for download and can also be updated to on any existing system. It includes a fix for the Zero W to work flawlessly amongst other things.

When connecting your Zero W via WPS with a freshly burnt image, make sure to boot the Pi first and start the WPS search second. The Zero W takes a little more time to boot, expand the filesystem and connect via WPS. If you are not connected by the first WPS search of your router, please start a new scan and the Zero W should be detected.

    Hi markus,

Thanks for the follow-up. To make sure that this really could be an issue with our system, please check the language setting in your browser to see which language is the primary one. It has to be English for Max2Play to recognize your system as English.

    7. Juni 2017 at 12:16 #29327

    Hi mrfunk,

    Sorry about the late reply.

The end of your parameter line might be the issue. Please try this command line instead (verbatim):

    -o hw:CARD=BossDAC -V Digital -v

    Hi bumpy,

    Sorry about the delayed response.

The Squeezebox Server is an open-source software whose active development in the slimdevices forums benefits our OS and every user of Max2Play. If you have specific questions on the technology behind the Logitech Media Server, please consult these forums: forums.slimdevices.com/

You can also look at these tips to optimize your sd card speed: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=144493

Nonetheless, a search task is most likely never split between cores and your list of 100.000 songs might be the critical mass for the Pi. You can consult the slimdevices forums on devices with more powerful single cores.

    Hi anesthesia,

    6. Juni 2017 at 15:41 #29294

Nice! We will look at this and see whether we can implement it somehow.

    Hi phanter,
We currently only offer the small OLED by Audiophonics as a small display with sound card option which has a On/Off-Button: https://shop.max2play.com/en/audiophonics-oled-raspberry-pi-display-bundle.html
You could also connect additional periphery on that.
Here is an overview of all our Display bundles: https://shop.max2play.com/en/bundles/by-type/display-bundles.html

With the 7″, you have the advantage of a free GPIO HAT slot for any sound card, allowing you to use IQaudIO or JustBoom which both offer rotary encoder and IR remote support:

Easy control with Rotary Encoder and IR Remote

Rotary Encoder for IQaudIO soundcard now also in Max2Play shop available

    Hi praz,
Sorry about the inconvenience. The easiest solve would be to use the WPS feature of Max2Play: https://www.max2play.com/en/how-tos/how-to-wifi-configuration-with-wps-and-max2play/

However, you can also try the following: After entering your credentials and saving, reboot the device and immediately after disconnect the ethernet. This way, you make sure that the WiFi is the preferred connection method.

    Hi Bob,
Thanks for suggestion. We will discuss this for a future update.

    Hi Taxicletter,

Sorry about the late response. Let’s get through your questions in order:

    – Kodi with HDMI audio is no problem with our OS. Kodi comes preinstalled and you can select HDMI for audio in our web interface on in Kodi.

    – A SSD might be an issue. We recommend using a powered USB hub to make sure it does not drain the Pi, but it depends on the storage device. Also activate the USB max current option in the Raspberry Settings.

    – Squeezebox system is ideal for almost any device, especially iOS and Android (Apps like Squeezer, iPeng, etc. work flawlessly). But you can also just always use the web interface on any device.

    – Kodi for music is not ideal, we recommend using the Squeezebox system and its many features and advantages.

    – Pi MusicBox, Mopidy, PiCorePlayer, Volumio and Moode are all very different beasts. We cannot speak to their pros and cons. Our OS mostly relies on the Logitech Media Server which is a simple one-click installation and has clean interface and many third party apps and software to control it. The players for it are preinstalled (Squeezelite) on all Max2Play devices so you can easily control the playback of all and synchronize them at will.

    – We all use Max2Play here 😛

If you have any more questions, I’d be happy to answer them. But the best way to decide is to just download the free image and try the free main features yourself to see if Max2Play fits your bill 😉
