Hallo Martin,
es gibt leider tatsächlich eine Änderung (Ursprung Paketquellen), die dazu führt dass bei Neuinstallation des Musikservers Pakete nicht geladen werden können.

Du könntest diese Befehle auf der SSH-Konsole ausführen – ich werde dafür einen Patch bauen und diesen in das nächste Update integrieren:

sudo echo „deb http://legacy.raspbian.org/raspbian/ buster main contrib non-free rpi“ > /etc/apt/sources.list
sudo apt update –allow-releaseinfo-change
sudo apt –fix-broken install

Welche Max2Play Version hast du oben im Webinterface in der Ecke stehen? Nach der Installation erscheint bei dir auch keine Option zum Starten oder öffnen des Lyrionservers, richtig?

Der Fehler „LMS Version existiert nicht“ kommt aus dem Installscript und erscheint, falls die Installation fertig ist und die Fortschrittsdatei nicht mehr existiert – ist also nicht die Ursache für das Problem. Nach der Installation kannst du mal manuell testen, ob Lyrionserver unter deiner URL http://deineIP:9000 (also hinten an deine IP „:9000“ anhängen) reagiert?

Hallo zusammen,

mit einem Update auf die aktuellste Version von Max2Play (Beta oder 2.62) sollte auf der Squeezebox-Server Seite im Unterpunkt „Starte Installation von Squeezebox Server“ der Lyrion-Musikserver in Version „lyrionmusicserver_9.1.0_arm.deb“ wählbar und installierbar sein. Nach Erstellung eines neuen SD-Karten-Images ist das Update von Max2Play über das Webinterface nötig.

Hallo,
der Fix ist jetzt Online in Version 2.62 und der aktuellen Beta. Damit kann die Installation, Start/Stop und Autostart des Lyrionmusicservers über Max2Play wie bisher gesteuert werden.

Hallo Peter,
aufgrund der Namensänderung des Servers sind leider noch weitere Anpassungen als nur die Anpassung der Installation nötig. Ich werde mir das nächste Woche noch genauer anschauen und auch einen Fix dafür erstellen. Auf meinem Testsystem war vorher noch der „alte“ Squeezeboxserver installiert, daher war das nicht direkt aufgefallen.

Der Downloadpfad für den Squeezebox Server wurde auf ein neues Projekt verschoben (https://lyrion.org/). Das wurde jetzt in Max2Play angepasst.
Beta Update oder Update auf 2.59 durchführen und es läuft wieder.

The download path for the Squeezebox Server has been moved to a new project (https://lyrion.org/). This has now been adjusted in Max2Play.
Perform a beta update or update to 2.59 and it will run again.

Hi,
if possible you need to connect to the Raspberry directly (monitor, keyboard) login via console and remove some files or if you have a linux system you could mount the SD card within that system to remove some big files.

I don’t know about your SD-Card size and what services and files you used, but the most simple thing would probably be to set up a new SD-Card with a fresh image. The installation should be quite easy – maybe you also saved your LMS settings in the past to restore them (option on squeezebox server page in Max2Play webinterface).

Hi Martin,

it seems like you successfully installed everything, but now the Pi is loosing the bluetooth connection or the bluetooth connection is not very stable.

You are using some peripherals (connected) to your Pi that drain some power. USB-Stick, Wifi and Bluetooth used together might be the issue for the bluetooth drops.

What you can try: use ethernet connection and no USB-Stick to confirm that bluetooth is working. If that is the case you might use a different power-supply or connect the USB-Storage to an active hub. If bluetooth is still a problem, you might also try a external bluetooth stick. To use this, you need to disable the build in bluetooth device on the „Raspberry Pi Stettings“ tab in the webinterface. When using Wifi and Bluetooth together the connection quality for bluetooth was not the best in our testing.

Hi,
I am sorry – I posted about the fix too soon. There were some more adoptions to the installer needed to make sure it works correctly.

I fixed some usability issues in the webinterface and made sure that the needed package sources are added correctly before installation of squeezebox server and also added the DSD-Player binary that was missing in the last version.

If you now choose the current Max2Play Image and update the webinterface to the latest version (Beta or 2.58) you should be able to install the Squeezebox server correctly.

Please report if you find any remaining bugs and thanks for your patience!

Hi,
sorry for the delay: the download section of the squeezebox server changed and we need to adopt this changes.

Workaround: You can always manually choose the package for installation from http://downloads.slimdevices.com/. You just need to copy the current ARM version of the LMS with its complete path into the input field on the Max2Play Squeezebox Server Installation source (Alternative Paketquelle für LMS von Slimdevices (muss das Debian Package sein)):
http://downloads.slimdevices.com/LogitechMediaServer_v8.3.1/logitechmediaserver_8.3.1_arm.deb

The nightly builds of LMS are still working and the normal installation of the latest version will be fixed in the next release and will be available in Beta of Max2Play today.

wenn bei dir Squeezelite nicht läuft ohne dass du den Benutzernamen geändert hast, hat das vermutlich einen anderen Grund – z.B. anderer Player blockiert die Soundkarte oder die falsche Soundkarte ist gewählt.
–> am besten mal andere Player stoppen und wenn das nicht hilft eine andere Soundausgabe wählen. Ggf. hast du auch die Parameter von Squeezelite geändert?

Hallo Christian,
der Squeezeboxserver scheint tatsächlich ein Problem zu haben und die Logging Intensität ist extrem – es ist allerdings schwierig zu Debuggen anhand der Fehlermeldung.
Funktioniert der Server denn noch zur Zeit der Fehlermeldung oder fällt das erst auf, wenn die Logs und die SD-Karte voll sind?

Ich gehe mal davon aus, dass der Server lange Zeit ohne diese Logs zu schreiben funktioniert und dann irgendwann der Fehler auftritt.

Ggf. ist eine fehlerhafte SD-Karte, mangelhafte Stromversorgung oder ein Plugin im Squeeboxserver dafür verantwortlich. Vielleicht lässt sich diese Lawine an Logs auch durch ein bestimmtes Ereignis triggern?

Ein Versuch wäre noch eine neue SD-Karte zu nutzen.

Hi,
what player do you use? If using Squeezelite and Squeezebox Server you may try to change the audiocard on the audioplayer tab in the webinterface and check the sound volume in Squeezebox Server. Depending on which audioplayer you use you may have to check different settings.
If it remains too quiet, it might be that the volume of the default soundcard is set too low. You can also check this if you log into your device with SSH and use the command „alsamixer“ to check the volume of the soundcard, but this should not be neccessary on a normal installation.

Hi,
if you want your local network max2play device to be accessed via https you need to self sign and install a ssl-certificate. You might be doing this with letsenrypt. Sorry, but we can’t give you further support for this.

Hi Ken,
you don’t need to add anything to the network path as you want to use a HDD directly connected to the Pi. There is an option to make the mountpoint of the HDD fixed, in case the mount folder changes after restart. Normally you don’t need to add anything to the mountpoints manually for a local connected HDD. The mountpoints are meant to be for network connections (NAS / other computer).
But the problem, that the HDD is not shown in the External Drives section is strange. Maybe something in the configuration file is messed up – but after burning a new Image this should not be a problem.
If you never see the HDD mounted or available in the External Drives section, you might consider removing anything but the HDD. Use a new SD-Card-Image and Ethernet via cable. Just to rule out a problem with power or interfering devices.

One more idea: start the pi without the HDD connected and wait a minute – then connect the HDD and check if this shows anything besides „No External Devices Found“.

Hi Ken,

what exactly are you trying to achieve?

You have an external HDD connected to your Pi and you use this as your media source for your Squeezebox Server. If you connect a HDD and it is not shown in „External Storage“ on „Filesystem Mount“ in Max2Play Webinterface, it might be that the Format is wrong or maybe the power supply is not strong enough to power the PI and the USB system with the HDD connected.

But then you want to connect to a „Filesystem network path“ which means that the source is on another computer/NAS.

We recorded some videos on how to connect the HDD and also how to mount network storage to use it as media source.

kannst du vielleicht ein paar Logeinträge aus der syslog zur Verfügung stellen? Z.b. mit

tail -1000 /var/log/syslog

Um herauszufinden warum das Logrotate bei dir nicht funktioniert, wäre es gut zu wissen welches SD-Karten-Image du von Max2Play benutzt. Wenn es das aktuelle Buster-Image ist, dann sollte der Ordner /var/log unter anderem diese Files enthalten:

Wenn das Logrotate doch funktioniert und nur eine einzelne Datei an einem Tag über 13GB Einträge sammelt, dann stimmt etwas anderes nicht.
Eine Ausgabe von sudo systemctl status rsyslog.service wäre gut, um den Fehler einzuschränken.

Hallo,

du kannst eine SD-Karte mit einem Brennprogramm auslesen (sichern) und auch ein neues Image brennen. Z.B. mit Win32Diskimager. Einfach kopieren geht nicht, da z.B. die eigentliche Daten-Partition unter MAC/Windows nicht sichtbar ist (nur die Boot Partition).

Da wir das Stretch-Image schon länger durch Buster ersetzt haben, ist es schwierig zu sagen, ob es bei bestimmten Programmen Probleme gibt. Es klingt allerdings als wäre die SD-Karte das Problem. Vielleicht aber auch die Stromversorgung – ggf. wurde etwas am Setup geändert? Die SD-Karte mit teilweise defekten Daten zu sichern, wird auch bei einer neuen SD-Karte zu den gleichen Problemen führen.

Eine Neuinstallation des aktuellen Buster-Images sollte vielleicht nicht zu aufwändig sein. Einige Anwendungsdaten lassen sich auch übernehmen.

Noch eine Idee: LMS 7.9.3 läuft vielleicht besser unter Stretch (das mal installieren). Die neuen Versionen des LMS wurden alle unter Buster getestet.

Bluetoothverbindungen sollten von einem Update eigentlich nicht betroffen sein. Die Deinstallation ist wie geschrieben auch noch eine Option.

Hallo Jo,

du kannst den Squeezebox Server über folgenden Befehl auf der SSH-Konsole deinstallieren (leider nicht über das Webinterface möglich):
sudo apt remove logitechmediaserver

Die Umstellung des Autostarts funktionierte nur bis Squeezebox-Server Version 7.9.3 bei unserem aktuellen Image (Max2Play v.2.5.6).

Für die 8.x Versionen des Squeezebox Servers haben wir jetzt auch einen Bug-Fix für den Autostart erstellt. Dieser ist in der aktuellen BETA und zukünftig ab Version 2.5.7 in Max2Play integriert. Du kannst den Bugfix über das Beta-Update installieren und anschließend den Autostart entfernen.

thanks for your detailled review! We have done some improvements to the bluetooth integration in the current BETA. Will be available in release 2.52.

We addressed bluetooth speaker support:
– improved (more robust) connection when first time connecting bluetooth speakers (pairing and connect where not working for some speakers)
– changed connection status detection to bluetoothctl (sometimes bt-device ran into error on multiple connect/disconnects)
– added „-B“ option in Squeezlite to work with bluealsa: Squeezelite now checks the status of the bluetooth connection and sets „power off“ on disconnect and „power on“ on connect. With this you can seamless start playing by just powering up your bluetooth speakers. Make sure to remove „-C“ option in Squeezelite Options as this is not compatible.

ok, well if the camera is working, the buttons should be loaded and attached to actions with some JavaScript and you could try another browser maybe and check if you get any JavaScript errors when loading the page.
