    Hallo zusammen,
    ich möchte gerade meinen Squeezeboxserver neu aufsetzen.
    Meine Vorgehensweise ist wie schon viele Male zuvor.
    Erst das aktuelle Image von max2play, danach versuche ich den Squeezebox-Server zu installieren.
    Allerdings tut sich nach dem Klick auf „zeige verfügbare Versionen“ rein gar nichts.
    Habs immer so gemacht. Jetzt bekomme ich keine Squeezeboxversionen angezeigt.
    Was mach ich falsch? Hat jemand ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht?
    Bin für jeden Tip dankbar.

    Hallo,

    ich habe dasselbe Problem.

    Folgendes habe ich probiert:

    RPi 3 mit Image Version 2.56 – kein Squeezebox-Server angezeigt
    RPi 3 mit Image Version 2.53 – kein Squeezebox-Server angezeigt
    RPi 4 mit Image Version 2.56 – kein Squeezebox-Server angezeigt
    RPi 4 mit Image Version 2.53 – geht nicht, offenbar akzeptiert der RPi 4 die Image-Version nicht.

    Der Aufbau der Seite http://downloads.slimdevices.com/ hat sich m.E. signifikant geändert.

    So kann das script Squeezeserver.php in der Function getLMSVersions() die entsprechenden Links nicht mehr ermitteln.

    hallo preslmayer,
    ein sehr wichtiger Hinweis, wenn dem so sein sollte.
    Vielleicht kann das Image ja entsprechend angepasst werden.
    Allerdings regt sich hier ja so gut wie kein Protest.
    Max2play mit Squeezebox Server scheint kein allzu großer Renner mehr zu sein.

    Hallo zusammen,
    wir haben die Downloadlinks in der neusten Version (2.57) entsprechend aktualisiert. Damit können die aktuelle Version und die Nightlys über das Webinterface installiert werden.

    Not quite – ‚just installed Buster image on my friend’s Pi 3B+, updated it, updated M2P to 2.57 but the error is the same. We tried even to download and install manually the package (apt install logitechmediaserver_8.3.1_arm.deb) through CLI, and got this:
    Reading package lists… Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information… Done
    E: Unable to locate package logitechmediaserver_8.3.1_arm.deb
    E: Couldn’t find any package by glob ‚logitechmediaserver_8.3.1_arm.deb‘

    Hi,
    I am sorry – I posted about the fix too soon. There were some more adoptions to the installer needed to make sure it works correctly.

    I fixed some usability issues in the webinterface and made sure that the needed package sources are added correctly before installation of squeezebox server and also added the DSD-Player binary that was missing in the last version.

    If you now choose the current Max2Play Image and update the webinterface to the latest version (Beta or 2.58) you should be able to install the Squeezebox server correctly.

    Please report if you find any remaining bugs and thanks for your patience!

    Danke, dieser Tip funktioniert bei mir. Allerdings finde ich es suboptimal, das Update laufen lassen zu müssen. Meine alte installation habe ich mir durch ein Update zerschossen und dann irgendwo hier im Forum lesen müssen, daß Updates lieber nicht durchgeführt werden sollen, weil es immer wieder zu Fehlern kommt.

    Auch nicht so optimal: die Version 253, die eigentlich für Raspberry Pi 4B funktionieren soll, funktioniert nicht. Nur die 256. Aber nach diesen leider längere Zeit verschwendeten Ärgernissen klappt alles super und so wie früher. Ich bin schon happy, die Lizenz gekauft zu haben!

    Hi ich habe heute M2P aufgesetzt auf einem Pi B+.
    Hat soweit geklappt Version 2.58. Allerdings klappt auch bei mir die INstallation des Squeezboxservers nicht. es werden zwar verfügbare Versionen angeziegt (8.5.0 und 8.5.1 nightly). Die Installationen schein auch zu starten. Aber am Ende kommt LMS version existiert nicht und ende…

    Was kann ich tun? Gibt es noch ältere Versionskombinationen auf die man zurückgreifen kann? Und wenn ja wo finde ich die?

    At this moment it’s totally impossible to install any version of LMS, which with the shutdown of mysqueezebox.com is the most important function especially for new users or new setups

    I hope this will be fixed soon

    Hallo!

    Der Downloadpfad für den Squeezebox Server wurde auf ein neues Projekt verschoben (https://lyrion.org/). Das wurde jetzt in Max2Play angepasst.
    Beta Update oder Update auf 2.59 durchführen und es läuft wieder.

    The download path for the Squeezebox Server has been moved to a new project (https://lyrion.org/). This has now been adjusted in Max2Play.
    Perform a beta update or update to 2.59 and it will run again.

    Ich hatte es mittlerweile auch manuell geschafft Squeezebox Server 8.5.1 zu installieren.
    Aber ich bin noch in der Experimentierphase. Könntest Du noch nen link sharen wo der 2.59 beta zu finden ist? Im Downloadbereich habe ich den nicht gefunden.

    Hello

    I updated Max2play to 2.59 and then beta Version Beta-240403.
    But I still cannot run LMS 8.5. When I try to install I get ‚LMS version does not exist‘.

    When I try to launch LMS I get: „Trying to launch … NOT successful Click here to show detailed information“ – the link to deailed information is not working.

    Please advise..

    I can install 8.5.1 and reinstall 8.5 but I used the guide from Moz to fix the perl problem https://www.max2play.com/en/forums/topic/squeezebox-server-installation-nicht-mehr-moglich/

    I tried to follow Moz guide, but I get 404 not found on some of the dependencies. Also, it seems that I need some permissions.

    I could not paste the lines from Remote control here.

    this did the trick for me I think but I’m not a linux guy I just copied it from Moz

    ssh pi@<ip-address>

    sudo apt install liburi-perl libnet-ssleay-perl libnet-idn-encode-perl liburi-perl libnet-libidn-perl libio-socket-ssl-perl

    Yes , I tried exactly that line.
    The only difference is that I tried to install lyrionmusicserver version 9.0 – it has some unmet dependencies.

    How do I roll back to LMS 8.4, which was running OK untill I tried to update?

    I tried also to roll back to 8.4 but could’t at that moment lms was gone, so I installed 8.5 and it runs well

    OK, good news.
    I got so frustrated , that I migrated to Picoreplayer. So far, without regrets.
