Please check your router’s web interface, to make sure the device is connected to your network. There, you should also see whether it is connected to the internet connection.

    Hallo Uwe,

    Hi Bassie,

After connecting via WPS, does the system still tell you that you have no internet connection?

Please deactivate fixed IP, it is only for LAN use, and try connecting to your network again.

    Hi Ronnie,

We now changed the selection of Essensio Card to incorporate the kernelchange. Please try updating to the newest beta, selecting „none“ in the sound card setting and selecting your card again. In this selection, the system will need a little time to adjust all changes, including ones in the ALSA library. So please be patient as the process might take some minutes.

Also, have you tried just selecting the default sound output with a completely new image to see whether the card gets recognized and how it’s handled by the system?

    Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for the effort of writing in English, it is very much appreciated by both me and the rest of the community.

    1) The license is user-based. You can activate all your devices with it. Nonetheless, we are happy about every newly bought one 😉

    2) We will not revert your configurations. However, when the license expires, you will not be able to benefit from any of the premium features anymore.

    3) You will NOT be able to access the premium features like the MultiSqueeze players anymore. They will not be deleted and all their features and config will return once you reactivate the license. However, you cannot use them without an active license. Same with VNC and any other premium plugin.
However, the active license will remain active after you disconnect from the internet. It will remain active as long as the runtime of your license is still active no matter what internet status the device has. All premium features will also remain active and useable if you installed them. The only thing you cannot do, naturally, is download new updates or plugins.

I hope this answers all your questions. If you need clarification on anything, let me know.

Also, good luck with your system. The components are great for starting out with multiroom audio.

    Hi Arjan,

We tested the feature with various devices including speakers and headsets.

Have you updated your system to the latest version of Max2Play yet? Also, does the device turn green now, once you click connect again?

    Great pic!

Unfortunately, the switch between screens always requires a reboot. So the Hotplug solution with a reboot (you can use HTTP commands to simplify this process) is the simplest way.

    Hi Ronnie,

It is indeed a kernel issue. We compiled this back when there were just a few updates to the kernel every year.

However, there might be a solution that is independent of these issues. We will inform you if this solution works out.

    Hi mattzee,

Thanks for sharing your logs right away and being detailed in your issue.

I contacted Allo on the issue and this was the response:

Currently with squeezelite, no solution. We are implementing Master volume which will change both DAC volumes. will be available in few days

    @Uwe

    Hi fabien,

The Odroid image and the Raspberry Pi image are different systems. The Odroid is based on Ubuntu, while the Raspberry one is based on Raspbian Jessie lite.

HiFiBerry sound boards were created for the Raspberry Pi and its interface. Here is an official statement by HiFiBerry support team member Daniel:

    Hi,

the DAC needs a special interface from the CPU called I2S. This is not available on the Odroid. You can plug it onto the Odroid, but it wont work. The Odroid misses the necessary interface. Therefore our boards won’t work with it.

    Best regards
    Daniel

    Hallo Tobi,

    Hi fabien,

The image remains in beta status for us, we do not offer it as an official download on our website.

Please head to https://allo.com/sparky-eu/max2play.html#downloads to find a version and a link to contact Sparky Support for further inquiries.

Glad to hear you are satisfied now. If you want to expand your music system to more than one device, make sure to check out our primary music client with the Squeezebox Server plugin and its multiroom audio capabilities.

    Hallo Tobi,

    Hi Pw,

Thanks for pointing out this issue. It is due to the new chipsets of the newer RPi3’s. We’ll fixed it in the newest beta, so just update to the newest beta version of Max2Play in the Settings/Reboot menu tomorrow and it should work.

    Hi GaryT,

The BBC iPlayer is a third party plugin by Triode.

Here is the discussion thread for the plugin created by the maker: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?53229-Announce-BBCiPlayer-Plugin-(UK-only)

    31. Juli 2017 at 13:46 #30254

The face plate looks great! Looking forward to more updates 🙂

You can activate the HDMI hotplug in the Raspberry Settings to make sure that the Pi recognizes the HDMI connection.

You can also remove the tick at „LCD as Default Display“ to make HDMI the primary connection.

    Hi Rolf,

Thanks for pointing out this issue. We will try to recreate this problem with a tester and fix it in an upcoming release.

    Hi romanu,

What output options do you have in Kodi when you head to the audio settings?

Also, what version of Max2Play are you currently running? If you have not done it yet, please update to version 2.44

    31. Juli 2017 at 13:13 #30250

    Hi Berry,

Does the same thing happen with both mp3’s and radio stations? The mp3’s might have special rights and cause issues, however, the radio stations should always play fine.

The volume issue should be connected to your sound card or output device. You need software controls to be accessible and featured. So no „hw“ command and with sound cards like the HiFiBerry DAC+ light, there is no software control anyways. What out device do you use and what selection have you made in the sound output device of the advanced options of MPD?

    Hi Carsten,

As Mohammad mentioned, this is a change that you would have to apply with console commands and is out of the general possibilities of the Max2Play web interface.

The quickest way to find this solution would be to ask the creators and users of the aforementioned VU-meter over at forums.slimdevices.com.

You can find the directory for the Jivelite skins at /opt/jivelite/jivelite/share/jive/applets/

    Hi Titanium,

Just send them to [email protected] and I will make a post here to share your notes with Whity and the rest of the community.

Regarding searching the forums, your best bet is the word search that you can find here: https://www.max2play.com/en/topics/

It displays all results for your keywords chronologically, so if you make your search terms more specific, you will find your desired results more quickly. We do not have any favorited posts, yet. However, we do make topics sticky if they are relevant to the whole community.

    Hi Js,

Thanks for pointing this out. We will check out the new Digi I/O and see what possibilities it offers, soon.

    Hi Tobi,

    Hi everybody,

We now changed our HowTo on using Spotify with LMS to implement Spotty instead of triode’s third party plugin.

    Check it out here: https://www.max2play.com/en/how-tos/howto-spotify/

Super, danke für die schnelle Rückmeldung!

Thanks for the kind words, we appreciate it. 🙂

    Hi jono,

    Hi Titanium and Carsten,

First of all, thanks to Titanium for the detailed follow-up. We would really appreciate your detailed notes and screenshots here. If you have problems with sharing images, here let me know and I’ll post them for you.

    @Carsten
