Hallo Stephan,
Um das Image zu sichern, braucht es auf der zweiten SD-Karte mindestens so viel Platz, wie die Größe des zu sichernden Images. Da das Dateisystem seit v2.40 automatisch beim ersten Start von Max2Play expandiert wird, benötigst Du also eine größere SD-Karte. Finden sich in deiner Server Log irgendwelche Einträge, die auf dieses Problem zurückzuführen sind? Ansonsten könntest du probieren den Cache des Servers zu löschen und deine Bibliothek danach neu zu scannen.

This is not possible with our normal configuration. Unless another user has already gained some experience with this and offers help, to get it to work, you would have to read up on the subject yourself. This plan could be quite complicated, as the address management has to be done by a DHCP router, which is also responsible for the WLAN.
Nevertheless, I wish you good luck. We would be happy to hear from you as soon as you have found a solution.

I’m glad to hear that your openHAB setup is working. To prevent Jivelite from opening automatically, you can simply deactivate the autostart of the Jivelite in the Max2Play webinterface.
The browser always opens links in a new tab or window. With command line tools like curl or wget you could call the links without opening a new tab. But I’m not sure if you can use them with openHAB.

In der Regel sollte auf den jeweiligen Produktseiten in unserem Shop dabei stehen, ob eine Hardware-Lautstärkeregelung unterstützt wird. Zu finden ist das unter Mehr Informationen > ALSA Regler für Soundkarte (Treiber). Im Zweifel kannst du diese Information aber auch direkt beim Hersteller der Soundkarte einsehen.

das ist ein sehr interessantes Projekt! Prinzipiell fallen mir hier zwei Optionen ein, die du probieren könntest. Zum einen bieten wir ein Pluginbuilder-Plugin an. Damit kannst du dir mithilfe von HTML, CSS und PHP ein eigenes Max2Play Plugin bauen und theoretisch so eine Oberfläche umsetzen. Die zweite Möglichkeit wäre wahrscheinlich die Nutzung eines openHAB Servers. Damit lassen sich auch sehr individuelle Benutzeroberflächen bauen. In beiden Fällen könntest du die Befehle aus unserem API-Examples Plugin nutzen, um die Wiedergabe des Squeezebox Servers zu steuern. Hier findest du die jeweiligen Max2Play Plugins:

Welche Server Version versuchst du zu installieren? Hast du schonmal ein Beta-Update von Max2Play durchgeführt und es danach nochmal probiert? Vor kurzem hatten wir dort einen Fix für Installationsprobleme mit dem SQS implementiert, vielleicht löst das auch dein Problem.
Welche Meldung erscheint, wenn du auf den Installationsbutton des VNC-Servers klickst?

prinzipiell ist es möglich das Audio des PCs auf dem Pi auszugeben.
Die einfachste Methode wäre wahrscheinlich über Bluetooth. Mit unserem Premium Bluetooth Plugin solltest du deinen PC als Audioquelle nutzen können. Mehr Informationen zum Verbinden findest du hier: https://www.max2play.com/en/wiki/bluetooth-direct-stream/
Ansonsten gäbe es noch die Möglichkeit, eine Soundkarte mit Input zu verwenden, wie den HiFiBerry DAC ADC. Dieser könnte per Klinke mit einem Output, wie dem Kopfhörerausgang am PC, verbunden werden.
Beide Varianten werden vsl. einen gewissen Input-Delay mit sich bringen.

das einfachste wäre wahrscheinlich, wenn du dir eine USB-Fernbedienung holst. Diese werden vom Pi i.d.R. automatisch erkannt. Mit unserem JustBoom oder Hardware Control Plugin könntest du dann die Tastenbelegung mappen.

Gegebenenfalls ist dein System zu veraltet. Kannst du mal nachsehen, welches Image installiert ist? Den Namen und die Kernel Version findest du in der Debug Info auf der Seite Einstellungen/Reboot. Dort sollte es den Eintrag KERNEL und LINUX VERSION geben. Wenn z.B. noch ein altes Jessie oder Wheezy Image auf dem Pi2 läuft, kann es sein, dass das Update fehlschlägt, weil wir dieses Image nicht mehr aktiv unterstützen. In diesem Fall solltest du in Erwägung ziehen, ein neues Image (Buster) auf die SD-Karte zu brennen und das System neu einzurichten.

Do I understand you correctly that neither the Samba share works nor that the LMS recognises your hard disk? Because these are two different things.
It’s good that the hard disk is shown as „Elements“ in the file system/mount plugin. And it looks like you have already saved the path to the hard disk. Is the drive displayed in the Mountpoints section at the top of the plugin page? If so, you should also be able to access the contents of the drive via /mnt/extdrive. In the LMS, you should then be able to enter the path as the media folder and see the music files after scanning the library.
You can set the Samba share in the lower section of the Filesystem/Mount plugin. If you want to share your hard disk, for example, you should enter the following there:
name: anyname
path: /mnt/extdrive
write permission: yes
file permission: 0777After this Samba share has been saved, you can create a new Samba user name and password below, which you will need to access the share from a computer.

If you don’t really need the latest kernels, I would recommend not updating manually. We regularly release new Max2Play images with the latest kernels, which we have tested extensively beforehand. With a manual installation, we cannot guarantee that the system will still function properly afterwards.

this depends on the resolution and data rate, but the Pi 3B will probably be too weak for this. You would need a Pi 4 to be able to watch Full HD or 4k videos with h.265 smoothly.
Edit: I’m sorry, I overlooked the resolution specs in the title. But the point remains – in principle, the Pi 3 can decode the files, but it will probably be brought to its knees by them.

Den Vorschlag mit dem RPIEasy Plugin nehme ich gern mit auf, allerdings würden wir die Entwicklung eines Plugins erst in Betracht ziehen, wenn sich mehrere Nutzer dafür interessieren. Falls du deine eigene Lösung mit der Community teilen möchtest, kannst du auch gerne unseren Plugin Builder ausprobieren. Damit ließe sich ein eigenes Max2Play Plugin bauen, welches wir auf unserer Webseite zum Download anbieten können.

It looks like your USB DAC has its own volume control. In this case, I would advise you to always leave the volume of the player at 100% and only adjust the volume via the USB DAC. This way, all your files will be sent to the DAC with max volume.

I’m sorry that your image is now broken. I would recommend using a new SD card and burning a fresh Max2Play image and setting everything up from scratch. There is the possibility to backup the image and write it to a new SD card, but then you would also inherit all the errors. Unfortunately, it is not possible to save only the plugin settings.
If you do not necessarily need the latest kernel and packages, I would advise you not to update them manually, but to wait until we offer a new image with an updated kernel. With manual updates, we can never guarantee that the system will still function correctly afterwards.
If you have burned the new image onto the SD card, please check (before you make changes to the system or the plugins) whether the hard disk is recognised in the file system/mount plugin and whether you can save/mount it. I would advise you not to mount the hard disk manually via commands, but to use the functions in the Max2Play web interface. This way we can help you better with troubleshooting.6. We have not implemented this feature because almost all of our users have a DHCP service running on their router. If you want to configure the gateway and subnet, you would indeed have to do this via terminal/ssh commands.

In principle, mounting with the Max2Play OS should work with all common formats, regardless of whether the hard drive was connected before or after booting. If the hard disk is recognised, a corresponding message should appear in the Filesystem/Mount Plugin indicating that the hard disk has not yet been mounted. If the checkbox for mounting the hard disk is activated and the Save button is clicked, the hard disk should be permanently mounted and show up in the mounts list at the top.If this option is not available or mounting does not work in this way, then the Max2Play image may be damaged or a kernel update has caused the mounting to no longer work as before, so we have to make adjustments to our image (this was the case, for example, when switching from stretch to buster).

Normally, exfat formatted storages should be recognised automatically by the system. When they are recognised they should be mountable via the filesystem/mount plugin.
If you need FUSE to make the Pi exfat compatible, you could try the following two commands:sudo apt-get install exfat-fuse sudo apt-get install exfat-utilsHowever, this has not been tested by us. We can therefore neither guarantee that the installation will work nor that Max2Play will still function correctly afterwards.

The Beta Image is a normal Max2Play image but with a new kernel. It is currently still in the beta phase, as we have not yet been able to test all the functions of Max2Play with the new kernel. By using the beta version, the community can help us with this process. However, the basic functions of Max2Play (such as adding and using plugins) should work without problems.

Verstehe ich dich richtig, dass die Audiowiedergabe über Kodi mit dem Boss 2 noch funktioniert, allerdings nicht über Squeezelite? In diesem Fall sollte eine Neueinrichtung von Squeezelite Abhilfe schaffen. Du könntest z.B. im Allo Plugin als Soundausgabe „none“ eintragen, speichern und das Gerät neu starten und im Anschluss noch einmal den Boss 2 auswählen. Ggf. dabei auch nochmal Kodi stoppen, falls es im Hintergrund läuft. Beide Dienste können gegenseitig die Soundausgabe blockieren.
Checke ansonsten auch nochmal, ob die Soundkarte im richtigen hw-Slot gesucht wird. Das kannst du in den Kommandozeilenoptionen von Squeezelite anpassen, indem du „hw:“ gefolgt von der entsprechenden Zahl einträgst.
Falls du gar keinen Sound über die Soundkarte ausgeben kannst:
Hast du schon versucht das System im normalen Modus mit Strom zu betreiben? Also ein 5V Netzteil an den Boss 2 anzuschließen und darüber Pi und Soundkarte zu versorgen? Könntest du ggf. mit einem anderen Pi den Boss 2 nochmal testen? Falls es mit einem neuen Image und normaler Stromversorgung trotzdem nicht funktioniert, würde ich davon ausgehen, dass der Boss 2 defekt ist. Hast du an deinem Setup hardware- oder softwareseitig irgendwas verändert, bevor der Boss 2 keinen Sound mehr ausgegeben hat?23. August 2022 at 12:52 #52360Hallo Joersch,

As far as I know, there is no and never has been a steel case for the Amp+, at least not an official one from HifiBerry.
The Amp+ is no longer sold by the manufacturer, so you probably won’t find many suitable cases for it at all. The only steel case we offer is for the AMP2 and together with the Pi 4. In fact, a few days ago we released a new Max2Play beta update that allows openHAB 3.3 to be installed via the openHAB plugin.
This affects everyone who makes a new openHAB installation. Unfortunately, anyone who wants to update to the new version will still have to do so manually, as we cannot ensure that the settings from openHAB 2 will be retained when installing version 3. -
