    Hi Dunewar,

Sounds like the problem could be caused by your SD card. Have you tried using another SD card for your Max2Play image? Do you have the possibility to use another Raspberry Pi for testing?

    Hi gavinsweet,

Could you please tell me more about what hardware you used? Especially the power supply could be decisive. Otherwise it seems that your display is simply broken. Yet, I am not aware of a case in which the display does not work after some time. But wear of electronic components after a few years can never be ruled out.

    Hallo Ti-ejtsch,

    Hi Alex,

This should be no problem since you can synchronize your Players in the Squeezebox Server.

You can do this from the web interface in the upper right corner or from a Squeezebox App like Squeezer or iPeng.

    Hi kanetoad,

You may follow these steps to reactivate your license:

    1. Make sure your Max2Play device is connected to the internet.
    2. Delete the license in the Max2Play interface and click „save“ with a blank field.
    3. Click on „Settings/Reboot“ again, reenter your license and click „save“.
    4. Check if the green „Activated“ field appears. If not, contact us again for further help.

Make sure you use the same mail address as in your forum profile.
We also have a short wiki article covering all aspects of the activation process.

    Hi tomsat,

There is a premium plugin called SD Card Write Protection for this very use case.

    Hi Alex,

Are you using an older image/version of Max2Play? If so, you should try updating to the latest version 2.48. This should fix the problem.

    Hi Hans,

The 2.8″ display should work with the Pi Zero.

Have you downloaded the RPi Display plugin and installed the 2.8″ display from the dropdown menu?

    Hi nickgosling,

For now, the graphic equalizer only works when using plugequal in the sound card options of squeezelite. It is based on an internal mixer (software). Do not use the equalizer for high-quality music, as it works with a lower resolution than the sound card.
If you still want to use it, have you tried leaving the command line option empty? Have you tried to enable the „Disable Built-In Audio“
checkbox on the Raspberry Settings page?

Please note that the equalizer currently does not work with Hardware Control.

When using the U5 area of the JustBoom card for the play/pause button and the IR receiver, the two get in each others way.
Please use only one of them. Otherwise, in addition to the signals of the rotary encoder completely diffuse signals from the IR receiver enter the System.

    Hello three_jeeps,

usually shares on Windows machines use SMB (or CIFS). NFS is primarily intended for Linux systems. Therefore, if you intend to use NFS, please rely on the syntax given under „show help“ (left blue button). Otherwise, try switching to CIFS. In this case you’ll need to enter username and password for your share in the options field (besides „sec=ntlm“ and the SMB version).

You can find a short step-by-step-guide on this topic at our wiki.

Without an active license it always displays „not activated“. Therefore only the basic functions of Max2Play are available to you (which has no impact on your current project, if you don’t need additional plugins by now). Only with an active (premium-)license it changes to „activated“ and new functions get unlocked.
