    I know it’s a Beta-151027 I have now.

Jivelite can work but can’t switch to a music lib. It just can’t connect.

Then after a little on at lest my 1080 HDMI it blanks the screen and goes back to the desktop. On it’s web page I can click Stop then Start Jivelite but it don’t bring it up. I reboot will but then I have to start Jivelite on the webpage and it’s is set to auto start. But then I looks like it crashes after about a min.

I got it to re-size. Used the Odroid Utility rebooted and it worked.

    24 packages can be updated.
    10 updates are security updates.

    So updating now now.

Can used the keyboard arrow keys on the java screen. I had to dig though the menu’s to find English.

That worked to get the desktop on the HDMI display. Just put a # at the start of every link in that file. rebooted.

But it still will not „Expand Filesystem“ It says this:

WARNING: Re-reading the partition table failed with error 16: Device or resource busy.
The kernel still uses the old table. The new table will be used at

Can you give me a link to the Adafruit page?

I posted here to ask about it.

But looks like you all ready have it. Any of the links in that link to Adafruit page is the pin stacking header you use?

I think I just found the link to it.

Looks like that one will work. I order it. Thank you flysurfer.

One thing on the Odroid-C1+ I got a 64GB SD card and just can’t get it to Expand Filesystem. It gives some error.

I got the IQaudIO Pi-DAC+ and the black case for the Raspberry Pi 7″ touchscreen. The HiFi board sticks out the back so the back is not back as fare as it could be so I had to cut part of it out. If I did it again can see how much I did not have to cut off. I got some photos of it.

Had to solder the power wires that go to the Display right on the HiFi board because they would of went back way to fare for the case to fit.

If I did it again would not cut off so much

The new stand-offs are all most to big. The one goes right next to the power USB plug. It rubs against it. But it worked. Got them from element14 later seen mouser has the better right size ones.

Cut the 3 holes the 2 big ones and the small one the temp plate from here help with that some but this one is not the same holes. I did a pencil side ways on it to mark were to drill. But it just still would not fit. Used a exacto knife to like whittling the plastic off till it fit.

    Can see it another way.

Had to wait to get the Stand-off’s in the mail. The IQaudIO HiFi board don’t come with the right ones were you can use it with the 7″ Touchscreen Display.

I guess this my help others if they want to do this. I think you could do it better them me from seeing the photos here.

One more photo to see what I guess would ask for.

Can see here how much I did not have to cut off to fit it.

I did cut the center mount off between the 2 RCA audio plugs. Before I know I had to cut more off the case. Can see now I did not have to cut that off.

O yes the HiFi board is the IQaudIO one.

Today in the mail I got the Odroid C1+ and order it with the C1+ HiFi Shield and IR Remote Control and the 3.2 inch Touchscreen Display Shield.

With the HiFi Shield the Pitch Female Pin Headers can not plug in. I guess I need a extender.

Does any one know were I can buy a pin header extender that will work with it?

I played some music with it and it works. I got it on a HDMI screen and it boots up to the log in and shows that only about a sec. Then the screen stays blank.

Any way to temp get it working on the 1080 HDMI screen?

Not a to good photo of it but can see how it don't fit

Just was looking on the web and I found this one that has C1+,HiFi-Shield and the 3.2 inch touch screen.

So I guess the screen has to go on the side of it.

So I guess this would be it to order to get it all working on Max2play for the Odroid from this photo.

But the 3.2 inch Touchscreen just says C1 not C1+ and can they all plug in together?

But reading more it says „Tested on ODROID-C1“. But can’t find C1+

    Am I right?

So if I am right it would be the:

    Odroid-Show2
    Odroid-C1+
    HiFiShielf for C1+

If so I like to order them.

Thank you for making it for this better system.

So do you mean it’s this display.

Looks like it’s sold out right now and cost $120. All most just like the $60 Raspberry Pi 7″ Touchscreen. But this one is a 9″

So is that the set up for the Max2Play on the Odroid C1+?

Or could it be this one the „C1 3.2inch TFT+Touchscreen Shield“? That one cost $25. A 3.2 inch one. A little bigger then the 2.8 inch raspberry Pi one.

Or because you said it can’t show graphics. It is this one, Only $8.90?

The Odroid-show2 can show colorful texts so I guess you mean that one a $25 one. Seems like text would be good for Max2Play because that’s all it has on the old slimp3 is text. It works good too.

    Something like this:

The old Slimp3 player just used text showed like this.

So are you saying if you get the:

    ODROID-C1+
    ODROID-SHOW2
    HiFi Shield for C1+

They all can work together with the image you are making?

All 3 would add up to $101 + shipping, and SD card.

Is this right? I can’t find were they say they can all plug in to each other and not photos of that yet I guess.

Can even buy a remote from them. That be nice if could get it to work like the remote on the Squeezebox radio.

I had to update Java and reboot the 2.8 inch display. The clock does work on it. But only see the top left corner of it. It cuts it off.

So it does work but just have to fix it a little for 2.8 inch display’s.

Was thinking it be nice if could put a light sensor on the GPIO pins to dim it down as the light in the room goes down. That’s what the squeezebox radio does.

It does seem bright at night time.

I will turn it off on the 2.8 inch display. I guess like you said it can burn it in.

I got it working on my HiFiBerry. Had to update the Jivalite (Jivelite start installation) I clicked, and then reboot and now it has the clock on it too.

    Looks very good.

    Thanks yet again!

I just updated my other 7 inch touchscreen one it has the HiFiBerry on it. It’s updated to Version Beta-151014 and I rebooted it and still no clock setting on it. But it works on my other one that don’t have the HiFiBerry.

Is something wrong because it don’t work on the HiFiBerry one?

How hard would it be now to get it to work on the small 2.8 inch touch screen now?

I would of thought it would just work scale it to the screen.

    Thank you again!

    14. Oktober 2015 at 15:09 #16362

Super! It worked. I updated it last night to Beta but could not get it to do the clock, and then in the morning today checked my e-mail and went here and it looked super.

Did a „Update2Beta Max2Play“ and it worked. I could go in the screen saver and pick what clock to use when it’s off.

    That’s so good.

I guess the only other thing is what size the clock or fount I guess you say would be. It’s looks a little small on the big 7 inch screen.

I got this photo of mine.

Clock now works as a screen saver on Bata-151014 todays date.

Thank you so much. Only doing the Beta on one of mine.

    Love it very impressed!

Just to test I ran this script on a i3 PC with Ubuntu Desktop installed fresh. Looks like the script was working good and rebooted.

Then the Ethernet did to work. I plug in a USB WiFi and got that working.

But it don’t see the audio and it works on the desktop. Had nothing to lows so I installed the Version Beta-151013 But that did not change any thing. At lest I read they are making a clock work as a screensaver now. But I don’t want to install that till it’s out of Bata on my main Max2Play.

It’s something it can all most install all the way on a i3 PC.

Get this for the sound info:

    root@max2play-i3:~# aplay -l

I guess would need to put something in the Edit Advanced Options for „Command Line Options“. But I don’t know what.

    13. Oktober 2015 at 12:48 #16335

If your other Pi works with it then copy the SD card to the other SD card and then put it in that other Pi and boot it and rename it to something like may2play-2

Can copy it with a DD command. Look it up on line if you don’t know.

    12. Oktober 2015 at 14:43 #16317

Under „audioplayer“ go in „Edit Advanced Options“ In Soundcard pick one from the List that sound like what you have. My have to reboot then.

I guess it’s a USB sound so could unplug it check the soundcard list and then plug it in and check the list again to see what changed.

Save it and should be good.

Or on your Pi that works see what soundcard it is set on there and pick that same one for you other.

Don’t put what you think it’s IP is put it’s name in like http://max2play your rougher DHCP should of gave it that name and it knows the IP then.

    11. Oktober 2015 at 11:36 #16267

I would guess you don’t have good power to it. Try a power supply 1 to each. Hard drives take more power when they spin up then when they are on just spinning.

    9. Oktober 2015 at 15:44 #16256

I got the HiFiBerry and a WAV audio played with it real good. I guess that’s about as most data for a song can get and it worked with the HiFiBerry.

    9. Oktober 2015 at 15:19 #16255

Looks like I got it working good now. Last night I took it other my Bothers to show him how good the sound is with it.

His lap top even putting on the same speakers was not good sound like the HiFiBerry is.

I even copy a .WAV audio file and it plays.

    9. Oktober 2015 at 15:10 #16254

I got mine working good with just a 2.1 amp now. I just plug the power in the Raspberry Pi and from there it goes to the 7″ Touchscreen power with the gpio pins.

Now I have the HiFiBerry and I just solder the power wires to it. So power goes in the Pi and it gives power though the gpio plug and from the HiFiBerry power goes to the Touchscreen.

It all works with 2.1 amp USB power I have to it.

No color cube in top right corner.

I did have the color cube fading in and out one time with another USB cable and that cable seemed good. I am using a old USB cable and it works. So that may be it for others if you get this or the touch don’t work. It’s because not good power to it.

    8. Oktober 2015 at 22:26 #16243

I got it. It was hard. I had to skip the 2nd to last it said could not find the config file but it was there. The last ask for name and password so you make it. So now I can log in it.

    8. Oktober 2015 at 22:07 #16242

Found out I can go to max2play-berry:81/install.php

The first if checks and it errors on „ampache.cfg.php.dist is readable“ so it can’t read it. I set it to www-data and chmod it 777 but no good.

Looked on Google for over a hour for help and can’t find it. Any one know how to fix this? I guess Apache can’t read it and I can’t change the Group to www-data it stays as root. The Owner I can change to www-data but that still don’t fix it.

    8. Oktober 2015 at 20:55 #16239

I seen can install ampache on it now. I went to it’s webinterface and it opens a test one and shows icons of errors. I fixed the errors. No Database so made one with the .sql they have in the /var/www/ampache/sql folder.

Had to edit the config file too for the database name that is root and no password.

So now it gets to the log in and I don’t know the name or password. I looked on the web and seems like there would be a setup to ask you that. But looks like Max2play auto set it up when I clicked install.

What is the name and password for it?

Update. I fixed it. In the /var/www/ampache/config/ampache.cfg.php it has a line „use_auth“ it was set to true and I put it to false so now don’t need a password for it.

I think when I was working on the config I set that like a web page said to.

But there is still a log in I guess to set things up. It don’t know were my files are and I guess have to log in to set that.

So what is the name and password for it?

    Got this photo of it.

This shows how I solder the power wires on it

Still trying to see if can get it to be like a squeezebox touch. Still have not found out with the WiFiBerry on it too.
