I use both. I have a headless player attached to my main room Amp & Speaker Set but I use the M2P device with a touchscreen upstairs.

My preference would always be USB as that way I can swap it out without having to dismantle the Pi to get at the SD card although I am looking at an SD card on an extended cable as a work around

    Hi,

Any news on this. I would love to be able to use a USB for Max2Play rather than SD Card

Reformatted an re-installed the SD Card

    All working now
Looks like some form of corruption somewhere I guess

Sorry for the delay – that didn’t work. I am currently going to rebuild the SD, reinstalling everything to see if that fixes the issue.

Just as an extra comment – being able to install on a USB would be really helpful. That way I wouldn’t have to dismantle everything to get at the SD card

I have jivelite set to autostart

Settings/Reboot – Autostart Desktop is ticked
Under jivelite – autostart jivelight and autohide Panel are ticked

What else do I need to tick / untick?

I am running squeezelite which is running if I control from the squeezebox server.

    But

I now just get this null when the rPi boots. I used to get a screen that I could use to control things with

    Jivelite won’t run

    Restart Desktop-Manager completed (initialized Display)
Trying to launch … NOT successful Click here to show detailed information

    JiveLite 0.1.0

I have even tried re-installing jivelite – but that doesn’t help.

Ahh – that may well be my problem. I shall have a look

I now have a rPi as a touchscreen squeezebox client – thank you. Its even making a noise (the right noise too)
By email address – I mean the registration email address for the license. My computer must have autoinserted the specific email into the ordering process – thats all. I just had to try several addresses to see which one worked / had been used.

I do have some issues following testing – but I’ll put those in a different section as being more relavent

    Thanks

OK found it – although I am not sure how you got that email address. Must have been filled in automatically and I didn’t spot that

    Thank you
