New JustBoom Sound Cards for the Raspberry Pi Zero

JustBoom introduced a new product line with their new sound cards for the Raspberry Pi Zero. The Pi Zero with its more compact format is very useful for IoT or portable projects. Now the Zero variations of the JustBoom DAC, Digi and Amp sound cards are available, complementing the Raspberry Pi. Despite the smaller size, the Zero sound cards are quite powerful, making them ideal for everyone who wants to build smaller projects but still enjoy uncompromizingly great sound quality.

Justboom Dac Zero pHAT

The JustBoom DAC Zero pHAT for the Raspberry Pi Zero is a Digital-to-Analogue-Converter with a 384kHZ/32 bit DAC Chip and a 138mW headphone amplifier. Perfect for all, who want to enjoy brilliant sound in a compact format. The DAC simply has to be connected to the Raspberry Pi Zero, no soldering is required. Also, additional sensors, buttons, LEDs and rotary encoders can be added (this applies to all three JustBoom Zero sound cards).

Justboom Digi Zero pHAT

The JustBoom Digi Zero pHAT adds a high-quality digital audio output to the Raspberry Pi Zero. The Digi has a digital audio chip made by Cirrus Logic with 192kHz/ 24Bit for a clean digital output, an output transformer for full galvanic isolation and an optical (TOSLINK) as well as a coaxial (RCA) output. With this combination, the Zero-version of the Digi offers an uncompromizing, high-quality audio experience. The sound card is powered by the Raspberry Pi Zero and doesn’t need an additional power supply.

Justboom Amp Zero pHAT

The JustBoom Amp Zero pHAT with 2×40 watts maximum output power is a high-quality audio amplifier for the Raspberry Pi Zero. The Amp is easy to install and use. The small sound card has a class-D amplifier chip with 192kHz/32Bit for a peek output power of 2×40 watts. The necessary 2,5A power supply powers the Raspberry Pi as well, so you still only need one power supply.
