    Dear,
chances that x2 different wifi router (different brand) with different network settings (different dhcp server) are causing the same error on the very same device are against odd, and moreover against statistic…

Nevertheless I’ll make a fresh install and keep you informed.

Note that my plateform is a Pi Zero W, the latest model with embeded wifi. Maybe an issue on the driver….

The card is a similar (not to say a clone) to hifiberry hat…

Hifiberry officially dosen’t support this function (marketing positionning) but the community was quick to find a way to make it work…

I’ll try with another distribution to check if it works and let you know.

I got no error messages triying it… but aleas no result at all… (even after rebooting)

Have you checked on your router, whether the Pi connects right and why it is assigned that IP?

this IP@ doesn’t come from my DHCP. Note that I tried on two different routers with the same problem. both router serves 192.168.1.x+20 and y+20.

Changing just the sdcard with v.l.m.o distribution and the Pi Zero gets the correct IP@ on both routers.

Yes load wifi interface is ticked, GUI allow me to find the different ssid available at my location, so wifi interface is up, but I don’t understand why it continuously get this 192.168.3.1 adress…

    The raspiaudio hat :
    raspiaudio

The trick to get soft volume control that doesn’t work aleas :
    hifiberry soft volume control

    Resume:
The raspiaudio Hat works flawlessly with a RPi Zero W. It work like a Hifiberry clone.

Only drawback, that is also true for majority of Pi Hat no native soft volume control. Lots of user found several ways to get it modifying the RPi config like the link I gave but it doesn’t seems to work with M2P…

note: thank you for your support.

I give it a try to volumio with the very same hardware.

Minutes after I selected the same wifi network, one reboot later and it was working like a breeze.

So there must be a configuration problem with Max2Play and the Pi Zero W…

    9. Juni 2017 at 9:20 #29439

I changed the router and selected wifi thru webui succesfully using scanning function…

    But same résult :

So it’s not related to the router (who works flawlessly by the way with lots of devices)

Any clue please ? Or a way to use static IP…

    Happy to help !!

    Thank you for your answers.

I recieved some info about LMS / Airtune switch, applying the instruction works well thanks.

5 what are the settings as my Android ain’t see the RPi 3 bluetooth embeded… Also a wifi equivalent would be greater as BT means limited distance.

    Thank you for your help.

My project : be able to listen to music in x3 rooms at least,

    1) from LMS source with synchronized music in each room.
    2) from LMS source with different music, in each room.
    3) From iPhone/Airplay source with synchronized music in each room.
    4) From iPhone/Airplay source with different music, in each room. (multiple iphones)
    5) From Android/??? source with synchronized music in each room.
    6) From Android/??? source with different music, in each room. (multiple iphones)

    Hardware :
x3 rooms : one RPi + DAC + Speakers in each room (already installed).

    Software :
    Max2Play of course.

    „1)“ & „2)“
So if I understand correctly your point I’ll have to use one centralized LMS on one RPI, preferably Ethernet 1Gbps connected (wifi isn’t as reliable to say the least).
Will this centralized LMS fit my requirement „1)“ & „2)“ ?
-Is an RPi 2 powerfull enough to support a LMS server with a huge library (100k, we are family…) ?
-Is this very same RPi 2 be powerfull enough to send data to the other 2 in realtime ?

„3)“ is working but with a problem as it dosen’t mute LMS music

    „4)“ I don’t know if it’s possible.

„5)“ I’m looking for a software to play from my android phone to the Max2Play device like on an iphone.. any suggestion 8^)

    „6)“ I don’t know if it’s possible.

    Thanks,
Your reply seems indeed logical, but I’d like to be able to choose between synchronized and not, depending on occasions.

    27. Februar 2017 at 14:40 #27264

    You are very welcome.

Maybe an HCL of DAC would be usefull for the community, starting with the ones compatible with the kernel you use for Max2Play RPi distribution.

    Long live to M2P !!
