    Going back to rpi3+ and check later on a release version if the problem has been solved.

    Thanks

    Hi Mario,

    thanks for the fast response.

    The settings are:

    Soundcard im Squeezelite Setup: sysdefault – snd_rpi_hifiberry_dacplus
    max2Play Version 2.52 for RPI4B 4GB
    BT Settings: sndrpihifiberry – hw:1:0 – Mixer Digital – Hifiberry DAC+ pro

    Sorry, i did not really understand the dependecies of the several audio out options and the possible signal paths.

    I just migrated from RPI3B+ to RPI4 with the new image for model 4.
    Everything works using the player with my DAC+ pro card.

    Unfortunately using the BT speaker function to connect the smartphone does not produce any sound.

    The BT link seems to be established/connected, max2play is selected as the media output device, the transport of the music player advances but produces no sound.

    Is this issue known in any form for the new max2play image?

    Thanks – Udo

    Hi Heiner,

    i would appreciate if thing would work like they are intended to…

    In fact the outputs are scrambled. The is only gmrenderer active, DAC+ selected, but the standard output is still selected.
    DLNA can be used, but only with the RP audio jack.

    A complete fresh installation (2.44) has the same problem.

    Using the command line „speaker-test -Ddefault:sndrpihifiberry -twav“ activates RCA plugs of DAC+ as expected.
    -> HW ok.

    So the front seems to show what should be but not what really is.
    -> Test button makes sense.

    Now i am going to configure the system via text editor, even if thats what i tried to ommit and why i was willing to pay for a simple functioning solution.

    Any helpful hints?

    Thanks – Udo

    Hi Grisha,

    thanks for replying.

    I used the thread title because it described my existing problem and the are so many similar threads in this forum.

    It seems to be a configuration problem in my case because a can use the DAC+ from the command line.

    Thanks & good luck – Udo

    cmdline „speaker-test -Ddefault:sndrpihifiberry -twav“

    works fine. No Hardware issue.

    So what about gmrenderer? Seems as if she is not willing to use what i told her..

    Thanks – Udo

    Hi,-

    i have a similar problem: With only gmrenderer active (no player started) i didn’t manage to switch from RP3 output to the installed DAC+.
    All settings point to the DAC+ on the WEB surface.

    Here the „debug output“:
