I tried the micro SD card from one of the other setups and it had the same behavior, so I figured it cant be the card, maybe the Pi itself?
So then I tried putting a regular Rasbian image on he card and it booted fine.
Then lastly, I followed your last suggestion of using the Beta Buster image and that worked!

Thats a good idea – I havent tried that. One of the other Pis is a Pi3 with a HifiBerry DACpro+ and the other is a Pi4 with an Allo DigiOne, so I’m not sure whether either would be a good test. I have tried other SDcards with a new Max2Play image though.
