    Hi Heiner,

I’m a long-standing user of SB Radios and Booms, both of which are self-contained Squeezebox units, and I’m looking to switch to replacement stand-alone hardware. The Squeezelite-RPi setup is messy and voice control isn’t supported in LMS, so I’m going with Alexa Echos. I want to have LMS and mymediaalexa combined on the same RPi (with common routings for my NAS and playlists), so my question is whether max2play has anything to offer in such integration. Clearly piCorePlayer can’t accommodate mymediaalexa, and installation of LMS and mymediaalexa under Raspian is a irritating in its complexity. So I’m looking hopefully at you! 🙂

Hi Heiner. Yes, I’m trying the Stretch Beta of Max2Play and don’t get the Soundcard option „Pulse – PulseAudio Sound Server,“ per the stable Max2Play version. I do get „Bluetooth – Your Bluetooth device 40:EF:4C:FF:03:22“ but don’t recognise the MAC, but presumably it is the onboard BT chip? If I then pair with my BT speaker and try to start SqueezeLite, it won’t start and gives the message:

Trying to launch … NOT successful Click here to show detailed information
    ../../../src/asound/../shared/ctl-client.c:102: Connecting to socket: /var/run/bluealsa/hci0
    ../../../src/asound/../shared/ctl-client.c:214: Getting transport for 40:EF:4C:FF:03:22 type 1

[12:51:41.000552] output_init_common:382 unable to open output device

Not sure if this is a beta issue or a BT issue?

Hello. I’ve got a very simple setup – Squeezelite on RPi3, with streaming from LMS on another device, and the RPi3 playing to a bluetooth speaker. Wifi and bluetooth are onboard. I’m having a problem with bluetooth. I initially set it up with a particular bluetooth speaker and it worked fine when I specified the Soundcard option to „bluetooth – Your Bluetooth device ***“ where *** was the MAC of the speaker I connected. But subsequently no other bluetooth or pulse options are shown, and this stops me connecting to other speakers with different MACs, and actually squeezelite itself now won’t start the Soundcard specified as „bluetooth“.
