For the record, I have had the same problem. On a preinstalled image it took me 2 hours of testing, and then finally I found this post. And to discover that the samba share was actually mounted fine, and accessible by Squeeze Server. The „sudo: unable to resolve host max2play“ kept popping up, along with a message that the mount had failed, leading me to believe that it had. But it hadn’t. Quite frustrating…

In the end it worked, but obviously it is a bug.
