As the card is now supported in the latest kernels it can be easily setup by just following the steps in this link http://www.horus.com/~hias/cirrus-driver.html meaning it should be a simple matter of accomodating it in Max2Play.
I install MPD and use BubbleUPnP to conrol playback and set the maximum gain for headphone output using the command:
amixer sset "HPOUT1 Digital" -- -12dB

Regardin Cirrus Logic being unsupported, I searched for and trawled through the Max2Play site but can find no reference to withdrawl of support.
Please advise where this annoucement is made in your documentation and how the withdrawl was communicated.
I have a Wolfson/Cirrus Logic Audio Card (CLAC) and I ONLY paid for Max2Play to get this. My subscription is current.
Please note that if the correct driver is loaded (the one sans ‚-overlay‘ via config.txt it loads correctly resulting in
aplay -l' shows it asRPiCirrus‘. The name has changed from the previous driver and it would seem that if you simply changed your change the PHP code to reflect this it „should“ work.
You might not be able to buy the card but the default raspi kernel supports it.
