Hi,
is there any chance to setup max2play as an alexa multiroom speaker to enable commands like „play xy in the kitchen“? where xy is spotify or any other alexa enabled musik / radio service?
Thanks

You could probably use Roomskills for this. A HowTo is available here: https://www.max2play.com/en/how-tos/howto-alexa-voice-control-with-roomskills/
Apart from that you can also download the (unofficial) Roomskills Max2Play plugin from the Roomskills website and install it on your Max2Play device.20. Oktober 2020 at 13:39 #49877Thanks, I tried this a few days ago. It will not enable the use case. It is a player control. I am searching for a way to see the max2play and hifiberry hardware in the multiroom alexa setup to control it by alexa. Max2play would just be a speaker in this setup.

It is currently not possible to integrate Max2Play directly into the Multiroom environment of Alexa. However, with Roomskills it would be possible to control the Max2Play player and thus the music playback with existing Alexa hardware by voice command.
11. Februar 2022 at 17:16 #52039Hi any news regarding max2play as an alexa speaker?
15. Februar 2022 at 15:29 #52056Unfortunately not, no. We are not currently planning to make Max2Play compatible with Alexa, as we do not have the capacity for this effort. Especially since there are workarounds for integrating Max2Play into an Alexa environment.
