I don’t know this is a plugin or other setting need to be adjusted. I have collect music from all over the world. There are many songs wasn’t roman characters.

So I can set to correctly display them for example Japanese, Chinese and other Asian languages. My iPhone can display all those languages.

Thanks

Hi willytom,

Which interface are you referring to? (Squeezebox webinterface, Max2Play, Jivelite, Kodi)

Here’s a relevant thread in case you mean Max2Play itself

I am referring to the Jivelite displays.

Thanks

Hi willytom,

I’m afraid Jivelite’s font set does not support special characters.

I will dig some more about possible options.

I found a thread in slimdevices.com https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103330-Jivelite-for-piCorePlayer&p=844384&viewfull=1#post844384

Discuss about how to add other languages but that beyond my knowledge of linux.
If you can help me on that.

Thanks

With Moode I can SSH and apply this “sudo apt-get install ttf-kochi-gothic xfonts-intl-japanese xfonts-intl-japanese-big xfonts-kaname fonts-unfonts-core xfonts-intl-chinese fonts-arphic-uming”

The player will display Asian language fine.

I try to do similar install with Max2play not success may be I am missing something.

Hi willytom,

The path to Max2Play’s Jivelite is the same as in the documentation from slimdevices, you might try that.

I assume Moode has a wholly different approach to their font management. As mentioned, Jivelite has a different source for its fonts than e.g. our web interface.
