If anyone is looking to add an on/off button for their build, follow the following tutorial after you’ve installed the max2play image.
Works a treat on my Pi 1 with Hifiberry DAC.
The tutorial says its a safe shutdown but I guess only time will tell, I’ve had no issues so far.
