Max2Play Home › Forums › General Questions on Hardware and Max2Play Versions › Which audio board could be add to my current configuration?
Hello, I currently have a RPI 3 with the „famous“ LCD waveshare 5″ touch screen that use GPIO and HMDI connection to work. I would like to upgrade my system with an audio board but I’m not sure which of the supported boards would be compatible with me config.
Any recomendation or a noob guide? Please.
The only way is to upgrade the lcd to the rpi 7″ bundle, too?
Many thanks
Bull
Hi Bull
Please note that Max2Play software does not support 5 inch display.Normally the display uses the GPIO pins on the raspberry pi, and to setup an audio card you need „extra“ GPIO pins.regarding the audio cards, some of the audio cards have GPIO pins that could be connected via „jumper“ cables and other you have to solder pins onto the sound card by yourself, please read this wiki page:
https://www.max2play.com/en/wiki/7-touch-screen-connect-the-gpio/
please have a look at our shop webpage for the audio cards that we are offering at the moment:
https://shop.max2play.com/en/audio-boards.html
and for the displays and the bundles please check the following links:
