    I installed VNC plugin. I can connect and see the desktop but it is very long and thin and the windows and menus appear in several places at once. It works with the mouse and keyboard but it is difficult to use. At the bottom of the tan window is a second copy of the background image.

    I tried Real VNC viewer and also Mac screen view. Both had the same issues.

    Hi matbic,

    Please try having the Pi connected to an hdmi screen when booting and then check VNC, to make sure it is not a general issue.

    Hi matt,

    The VNC takes the screen that’s set up when you boot. You can change the resolution in the Raspberry Settings. Just select the resolution you’d like to see in VNC and check whether the problem persists.

    Oh thanks I have already set HDMI hot plug option to on and specified an HDMI resolution ( I tried them all). It does not seem to make any change to the problem in VNC.

    that’s odd, have you tried with a connected screen on boot yet?
