Max2Play Home › Forums › General Questions on Hardware and Max2Play Versions › upgrading max2play
I have an older max2play version (2.44) which I’d like to upgrade to the current version. The only instructions which I see for doing this say that I need to download a new image onto an SD card. This means that I will have to go through the whole process of installing plugins, setting wifi, etc again, which I don’t really want to do.
Is there a way to save the settings and then scp them over to the new sd card once it boots?
Sincerely,
Hawley Waldman
Hi hjw,
You can update Max2Play directly through the webinterface. This way you can keep all your settings. Just go to the Settings/Reboot page and click the Update-Button next to the Reboot and Shutdown Buttons.
