Max2Play Home › Forums › General Questions on Hardware and Max2Play Versions › SSH line of command (or else) to know sample rate and depth playing
hello everyone
I have a capricious DAC which supports a badly implemented 24_3LE format. I noticed on some players that the depth of 24bits songs is downgraded to 16bits.
I am currently using my justboom digi hat on top of my Max2play licence.
When a song is playing, how can I check the current depth/sample rate? alsa parameter being used at that moment?
Thanks for your help
Hi lynoo,
First, you can use a parameter in the command line options to force a certain sample rate and other small adjustment stuff. Here’s an overview
Then you can check the debug of our audioplayer for the current alsa bitrate:
#### OUTPUT SOUND DETAILS CARD 0 ####
access: MMAP_INTERLEAVED
format: S16_LE
subformat: STD
channels: 2
rate: 44100 (44100/1)
period_size: 884
buffer_size: 3536
