    Hope you can help.

I have Max2Play installed on a PI2 and when I try and select anything on Spotify. I’ve just started getting the following error message.

    Problem can’t open file for:

I can play locally store music, but can’t get anything working on Spotify

I’m using the above with a Squeezebox Boom and Touch.

All has been working like a dream till about 2 days ago

    Any suggestions?

I am having the same problem. Spotty was working ok yesterday, today i get the same error message when I’ve loaded a playlist; Problem: can’t open file for: then the name of the file.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

I’m using the Spotify family plugin which works, however you have to rebuild your playlists and artist lists as these don’t port over onto this plugin. It’s based on the Triode plugin, which I couldn’t find. To use it add this link to the repo list in the settings, plugins page of LMS:

I got this working again by updating max2play
    Going into SETTINGS/REBOOT
    Update Max2play
I’m now running Version 2.45 Raspberry PI

I think this may have been resolved by just updating Squeezebox Server
