Hi,
I have a RasPi3 that I am using as both a player and a Server. Is their anyway to set the Squeezebox Server name to something other than the hostname of the Max2Play unit ?

I’d like to have the server just called Music Server and the Player named LivingRoom. Currently the Hostname LivingRoom is applied to both. This looks odd when using apps like iPeng to control the system.

Hi NoizeBoy,

You can use MultiSqueeze to name the player on the device a different name (so device name in Settings/Reboot „Music Server“, 1 player in MultiSqueeze „LivingRoom“, deactivate autostart for Squeezelite in Audioplayer menu). The name of the server is always the same as the device name as it’s tethered to the device IP. 😉
