How can I set date and time on the raspi when there is no internet?

Is there a way inside the max2play pages?

Do I need SSH? Can you give me an example? (I’m a linux noob..)

    thanks, Thomas

    Hi Thomas

The Raspberry does not have an internal clock (there is no battery on the Motherboard)

This means that you have to put in the date and clock every time you reboot!!!

You can set the clock manually by downloading the Remote Control Extension:

Inside the extension install shell in a box.

After the setup, login in with:

    login: pi
    password: raspberry

    then type:

    sudo date -s „Thu Aug 9 21:31:26 UTC 2012“

replace „Thu Aug 9 21:32:26 UTC 2012“ with actual time, timezone and date in your time zone.

Thanks a lot for the fast reply!

So I’ll have to connect the raspi temporirily to the web, download the pugin and install shell in a box.

Then I can bring it back offline and set the time whenever I start it up?

    Sounds ok to me..
