Max2Play Home › Forums › Max2Play on ODROID U3/C1 › Samba wants a name and password what is it?
I got Max2play on 2 systems. A raspberry pi and a Odroid C1 Going to samba on the raspberry pi I can type root and may2play and I am in to see it’s music folder and copy music to it.
But I do the same on my Odroid C1 and any name or password I put in is not right. How can I found out or set the name and password up for samba?
Before I did Submit. I looked here.
So it looked like this:
root@max2play-C1:/var/lib/mpd/playlist# smbpasswd -a root
New SMB password:
Retype new SMB password:
root@max2play-C1:/var/lib/mpd/playlist# nano /etc/samba/smbusers
root@max2play-C1:/var/lib/mpd/playlist# service samba restart
root@max2play-C1:/var/lib/mpd/playlist#
In the /etc/samba/smbusers I put this:
<username> = „root“
It worked then I can type root and max2play for password and get in.
