Max2Play Home › Forums › Max2Play on Raspberry PI › [SOLVED] rpi & M2P & iQAudioDAC+ & Kodi & Squeezeplayer
Hi
I’ve got a rpi with iQAudioDac+, with M2P obviously running.
I was wondering if it was possible to:
– have Kodi output sound using built-in HDMI output
– have squeezeplayer output sound using iQAudioDAC+
I’ve tried setting audio output device on Kodi to „Pi:HDMI“, but it doesn’t work – is there a HDMI setting that I need to change on M2P somewhere? Funnily, HDMI-Mode is set to DVI/VGA, and I can’t change it to HDMI.
Setting Kodi audio output device to „ALSA:IQAudioDAC“ works and I’ll get the sound through IQAudio, but if I had squeezeplayer playing music then I need to go to Kodi settings and re-apply the audio output. I’d rather have Kodi over HDMI, and squeezeplayer to use IQAudio.
Please do let me know if you’d need more information.
Thanks
Matej
Ha! I just got it working by manually editing /boot/config.txt
For some reason hdmi_drive was set to „2“, so I changed it to „1“ and now Kodi outputs sound through HDMI.
Thanks anyway! 🙂
