Max2Play Home › Forums › Max2Play on Raspberry PI › Routing sound DAC/SPDIF to another DAC?
Hello,
i use a Raspberry 3 with Hifiberry DAC to feed my amp for my audio server purpose (LMS).
Now i would like to use my amp for my Xiaomi Mi TV Box (video & TV live).
The TV Box has SPDIF output. I imagine to plug an SPDIF interface into USB entry of my Rasberry.
Question: How to get audio signal and send through the hifiberry DAC?
Thanks
Hi fabien,
Max2Play and the Raspberry by themselves are not great for audio input.
I would recommend using the box directly connected to your Amp, if it has an analogue output, or using a simple standalone DAC between the two devices.
Hi Heiner,
thanks for the reply.
Unfortunatly, i cannot connect directly the box to my amp bacause of lack of input. My amp is internal connected to the Raspberry. This is one box containing amp & rasp with only USB/HDMI/Ethernet ports of the rasp are available.
I would imagine a software solution with a usb device to get the SPDIF signal.
Hi fabien,
There is the wave input plugin for Squeezebox input. But this is not implemented in Max2Play and we cannot guarantee a steady solution that will work with your components.
