Hi
I’m using max2play with LMS for a stereo setup. I like also to have mpeg2 sound played in LMS. RP4 doesn’t have the harware decoder for mpeg2. Is there a workaround to decode mpeg2 with a software decoder in max2play and lms?
Thank you for your help!
Greetings from switzerland

Hi dbertschi,
For older Raspberry Pis we had a hardware decoding function integrated in the Raspberry Settings plugin. We will consider adding a software decoding solution to our Pi 4 image.
Until then, I recommend you this guide from the Raspberry Pi Foundation: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/config-txt/codeclicence.md
I will talk to our developer about a possible integration. Currently, however, I cannot say whether and when an integration will be available.
