My max2play on a HifiBerry amp+/RPi doesn’t work any more. When I power on the unit, I see the red LED on the RPi come on and the green LED flicker (SD card activity); but the LEDs around the ethernet port stay off. I have tried with two different RPis and with2 different ethernet cables, but the problem stays the same. Does anybody have any idea about what could be wrong and how to fix it? Thanks!
Hi sdspieg,
Have you tried establishing a connection via WiFi (WPS, Access Point Autostart Mode) to rule out the ethernet port as a source of error?
I had almost given up on max2play because of this problem. But so today I tried burning a new version of max2play – only to find out that there was something wrong with my micro-sd card. I got a new one, installed max2play and bingo! – everything is working beautifully again (including the ethernet connection). I just figured I’d report back just in case anybody else runs into the same problem.
Hi sdspieg,
Thank you so much for the follow-up! Glad that you got it working 🙂
