Tagged: DAC USB ASUS XONAR
Hello. I connected my ASUS Xonar Essence One DAC, but Max2Play makes me feel files over 16 bit 44 khz at a reduced speed. Has anyone had the same inconvenience? Are there any additional checks like resampling for this dac?
Hi estaube,
Did you add hardware volume control yet? https://www.max2play.com/en/wiki/optimizing-squeezelites-volume-control/
Thanks for your help. I solved some problems but I still hear little jumps during playback. I think it’s a problem of volume clipping that seems a bit high. I tried to set different parameters in alsa and command line but I could not solve the problem. The last parameters set are these. Please help me. Thank you.
Card:-o hw:CARD=One,DEV=0
Alsa: 60:3::
Command Line: -D 0 -V Digital -Q -R -u ::-3::::
I solved the problem definitively. Blame the little power supply current. Only 2A. Thank you.
Excellent software.

Hi Luca,
Thanks for the quick follow-up, happy to hear you found the solution.
We recommend using 2.5A for most DAC systems.
