Hello !
I’ve just started with max2play on a Raspberry PI 3, with a HifiBerry Amp+ card.
I can not set volume from YMPD. When I change the volumne, a pop-up toggles with „Problems setting volume“ message.
I can set the volume from Raspberry Parameters tab, on AudioCard panel, it works perfectly.
I have no idea where to look at.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Best regards,
Christophe
Here is my debug info on MPD tab :
#### MPD Version ####
Version: 0.19.1-1.1
#### AUDIO-DEVICES (aplay -L) ####
null
Discard all samples (playback) or generate zero samples (capture)
equal
plugequal

sysdefault:CARD=sndrpihifiberry
snd_rpi_hifiberry_amp,
Default Audio Device
dmix:CARD=sndrpihifiberry,DEV=0
snd_rpi_hifiberry_amp,
Direct sample mixing device
dsnoop:CARD=sndrpihifiberry,DEV=0
snd_rpi_hifiberry_amp,
Direct sample snooping device
hw:CARD=sndrpihifiberry,DEV=0
snd_rpi_hifiberry_amp,
Direct hardware device without any conversions
plughw:CARD=sndrpihifiberry,DEV=0
snd_rpi_hifiberry_amp,

Problem solved. /var/log/mpd/mpd.log contains explicit message on problem. I had mis-written mixing thing, with hw0 instead of hw:0.
Maybe a possibility to inspect log files from web interface could facilitate things…
Best regards,
Christophe
