    Hi,
I am mounting a system of music with a boss dac and two speakers of a system 5.1, the sound is distorted as if the volume were too loud, but does not sound very loud.
I don’t know what can I do to make them sound louder and not distort,i can put an amplifier between the speakers and the dac boss and is possible what kind of amplifier.

    Thanks

    Hi sigfrido,

If you do not have active speakers, you absolutely need an amplifier before directly connecting the DAC.

The amplifier needs to provide the correct wattage for your speakers. You can find out what the speakers need on the manufacturer’s page or on the speakers themselves.

You need to connect the RCA outputs of the DAC to to the RCA inputs of either your Amplifier or your active speakers for the DAC to correctly send the analogue HiFi audio signal that is then amplified, either by a dedicated amplifier or by active speakers‘ built-in amplifier.
