If you are trying to mount a share on open media vault you need to use the following:
Path to share (example): //192.168.1.100/share
Path to mount share on media server (example): /mnt/share
Share type: cifs (as long as you are using SMB shares)
Login access: user=name,password=pass,sec=ntlmssp,iocharset=utf8,vers=1.0 (add your user name and password)
The important bit is the security mode which the instructions show as sec=ntlm but the default security mode for OMV is sec=ntlmssp
I’m hoping that this helps other people as it took me far too long to work this out. Also it would be nice is the Max2play guys could add a note into the instructions.
