Hello just done a clean setup and it looks like a few extra audio settings have been added or i just didn’t see them the first time so wondered what one sends the purest signal to the Meridian Explorer 2 USB DAC from the list

Thanks for your request and sorry for the late response.
try this – default Explorer² USB DAC, USB Audio – Default Audio Device, CARD=DAC
If you take a look into the DEBUG informations, while you playback a song, you can see whith which soundquality the files will be played.

Been playing around and it looks like front-Explorer2 USB DAC, USB Audio – Front speakers, CARD=DAC,DEV=O is the best option as its the only one which will light up the blue light on the Meridian DAC when playing MQA Audio but you do get the odd random crackle every now and then
