I am pondering how to allow my guests to play their music, while keeping them on Guest WiFi. I am using LMS on HomeLAN, Max2Play on HomeLAN (wired), and personal phones on HomeLAN (WiFi).
I’ve tried a dual-homed Max2Play with Ethernet + WiFi, but Shairplay didn’t become available on the WiFi side of things, and overall Max2Play seemed to get, for lack of a better term, „confused“ by having two interfaces.
I have not yet tried a dual-homed LMS. I don’t know whether LMS supports that, but that might be an option.
If you’ve set up Max2Play / LMS to be available from two subnets before, please chime in here on how to do that.
The alternative is to lock down HomeLAN to where I can safely let guests on it. Right now, access controls for devices on HomeLAN are spotty to not there at all.
