Hi, I have have several MAX2PLAY Squeezeplay installs in my house. I also typically have 2 M2P’s with a LMS/player install, with only one LMS running at a time , and the other as a backup. My music is located on a FREENAS platform. I have run into issues where some LMS builds will fail the music scan, while other varients will scan fine. If this happens I will upgrade or downgrade the LMS version till I can get one that works. This leads me to my issue. I have noticed if I downgrade the LMS, the install will go fine and the process will restart but I can’t open port 9000 either from within M2P, or from my browser. The only way around this is to scrub the SD card and do a fresh M2P install. Is there away around this? Would it be possible to have „LMS Removal“ option from within the M2P Squeezeserver tab? I have tried all the obvoius stuff, such as M2P reboot, stop/start of LMS etc.

    thanks

    Scott

    Hi Scott,

There is currently no uninstall feature for the LMS because it alters the structure of our OS when installed.

However, we will try to recreate your issue here and see if it might be a bug. Can you paste the log from the Squeezebox Server menu here when encountering the issue?

    1. August 2019 at 21:31 #46633

I would like to comply, but I can’t get to the LMS log files, at least not directly via LMS, when the server won’t respond to the 9000 port call.

    Hi Scott,

Under debug info, you can find the log in our web interface.

    2. August 2019 at 17:17 #46647

Please see log output below. BTW I have been disscusing another issue with Michael Herger over on the LMS forum inregards to scans terminating unexpectedly. He mentioned a „nonindexed parameter“ being added recently, and asked if i had downgraded without wiping the database. Could these issues be related?

    Thanks,

    Scott

    Hi Scott,

Thanks for sharing! Could you try deactivating the plugin Full Text Search? It crashing seems to be the last line before the restart loop.

    7. August 2019 at 18:02 #46706

Ok disabling Full tech search seemed to work. The scan did not fail and I can reliably access the LMS after a start and stop of the LMS process .

    Thanks !

    Scott

Thanks for letting us know! Still weird, I can’t remember this plugin having made any problems with Max2Play yet. We’ll try to recreate the issue here.
