Max2Play Home › Forums › General Questions on Hardware and Max2Play Versions › Hardware for Sub-Woofer at a Floor Level
Hi All,
Looking for some recommendations on what would be the best way to do this.
I have an old Klipsch Sub-Woofer that has a broken power supply and Amp. Was thinking I could use this as a Sub on the Top Floor of my town house. I currently have 4 Players throughout the house running raspberry pi’s and Hifi berry DAC hats. It is served by LMS running on a synology NAS.
On the top floor I have one on the bedroom and one in the bathroom. I was considering adding a third player to act as just a sub that would provide a bit more depth when either player was being used.
Thoughts on hardware?
Hi 81stubee,
A sound card for this purpose and which is compatible with Max2Play would be the Allo Piano DAC. However, this is a DAC sound card and therefore you need an active speaker (or subwoofer). I doubt that a Pi-soundcard combination can replace your defective power supply and amp though. You can find more information about the Piano in our shop: https://shop.max2play.com/en/piano-dac.html
