Max2Play Home › Forums › SD-Card Imaging and getting started › Expanding Filesystem Issue
I have several 8GB microSD cards that I’m experimenting with different Max2Play setups. When I try to copy an image file to another card, the Win32 disk imager program complains that there is not enough space. I know what the problem is- the SD cards I have (from different manufacturers) do not all have the exact same number of sectors.
I’m wondering if it possible to change the „Expand Filesystem“ function to leave some unused space (for example, instead of expanding to the full 8GB maybe it is 7.8GB). This way, people like me could easily work with images without regard to SD card makers.
Also, if there is a command line or script I could run that will do this I would really appreciate that.
Hi joejvj,
Sorry about the late reply.
Currently this not possible, however, if we get this request by multiple users, we will consider adding a feature for it.
