How can I change the Samba share access username from „root“ to „pi“?
I have mounted the share on another raspberry pi and cannot write to the share unless I preprend „sudo“ in front on the command.
I need to be able to set up user „pi“ to have write access to the share as well.

    Hi bvaughan,

You should be able to set a custom user for your share in our webinterface in the field: User for Samba-Access:

The element is marked as readonly on the page and cannot be edited.

    <td>User for Samba-Access:</td>
    <td><input type=“text“ readonly=““ name=“sambauser“ value=“root“></td>

    Hi bvaughan,

If you set the Creation Mode „777“ you should get both write and read access on both sides, regardless of the login.
