Cannot activate my licence

    I forgot to renew my licence and today i saw it. I purchased a new licence. But in my max2play system interface i cannot activate it. It show’s not activated. I had the SD Card protection active before the end of my licence and now it shows that’s still active but when i go to the sd card protection tab it shows that it is not installed because i’ve no active licence installed.
    Helpppppp pleaseeeeeee

    Hi arnaju,

    First of all, thank you for pointing out this potential problem for all users. We have now added an uninstall button on the newest beta of the plugin that remains even if the device does not have an active license.

    For your system, you can SSH into the device (using putty or something similar) and execute the following command:
    sudo /var/www/max2play/application/plugins/sdcardprotection/scripts/

    This will deinstall the SD card protection manually and after rebooting, you will be able to activate your license again.

    Thanks for your fast answer. I’m a Mac user and i don’t know the program „Putty“. Is it possible to have a fast ‚how to“ ?

    Hi arnaju,

    Just an SSH client. I am sure there myriads for Mac out there as well. Apparently Mac OS X has one built in:

    Just enter the IP of your device in there to access it. It should ask you for a login, that’s user: pi pw: raspberry

    For sudo and root login you need the pw „max2play“. Then enter the aforementioned line verbatim and hit enter.

    Afterwards, you can do a reboot and the SD card protection should be uninstalled.

    Ok i did it (see screenshot) but the sd card protection is still active. Did i misdone ?

    My license expired a few days ago and I tried to purchase a new 2-year license and it says my „email already in system“ – so how do I purchase a renewal?

    Hi Hilary,

    The account is connected to your license and when you log in to your shop account your preexisting login and then purchase (using PayPal or another method) the license duration will be added to your shop account’s email address which itself is the license you need to enter in the Max2Play web interface.
