Max2Play Home › Forums › Max2Play on Raspberry PI › Apple Lossless Playback Problem
Been reading the forum and this has come up before where Max2Play has a problem playing Apple Lossless just wondered if there’s a fix about as have 11,200 files which is about 160GB of Apple Lossless and sometimes they will play or they will stop after 4 seconds but if you step back or forward a few times they will start playing ok
Have tested changing a couple of albums over to FLAC and they play ok i just don’t fancy converting 11’200 tracks plus all my music plays ok when i use Moode Audio, Rune or Volumio even when i play studio masters encoded at 24-bit 192kHz
Setup
Pi2
HiFiBerry DAC
7” Touchscreen
WD MyCloud network drive connected via a Linksys WRT1900ACS running DD-WRT
Ethernet cable used to connect all devices
PS just wondered is it just a case of the Pi2 having to run a few different types of software / plugins in the background that it has a problem with Apple Lossless and would getting a Pi3 fix the problem which i don’t mind doing
Think i’ve fixed the problem after having a good read
If you login to the Logitech Media Server and click the Player Tab and click the Audio box below (see image)
Then change setting to below
Only problem it down samples your Apple Lossless 🙁
