Do I understand you correctly that neither the Samba share works nor that the LMS recognises your hard disk? Because these are two different things.
It’s good that the hard disk is shown as „Elements“ in the file system/mount plugin. And it looks like you have already saved the path to the hard disk. Is the drive displayed in the Mountpoints section at the top of the plugin page? If so, you should also be able to access the contents of the drive via /mnt/extdrive. In the LMS, you should then be able to enter the path as the media folder and see the music files after scanning the library.
You can set the Samba share in the lower section of the Filesystem/Mount plugin. If you want to share your hard disk, for example, you should enter the following there:
name: anyname
path: /mnt/extdrive
write permission: yes
file permission: 0777
After this Samba share has been saved, you can create a new Samba user name and password below, which you will need to access the share from a computer.
